Ivan is very friendly and helpful. His lectures and notes in class are a little all over the place and hard to follow and he would often rush to get through material right before exams. Not hard to get a good grade though and he is very helpful in office hours

Mirkovic is one of the best and most reasonable math teachers I've ever had. He's very good at teaching, has a great sense of humor and he's just an awesome guy overall. He frequently extends homework which is a lifesaver and holds review sessions for exams on his own time.

Abstract algebra can be a tough class if you don't like math as it's abstract. However, it is my favorite math class I have ever taken, in no small part due to Professor Mirkovic's teaching. The book used, Saracino's intro to AA textbook was fine, but Mirkovic went well beyond what was covered, and posted his own well thought out notes. Great class

I got an A in this class without ever attending it. Doing the past papers online get more prepared for the final than his lectures do. Always look at the review sheet online and practice before the exam and it will be an easy A

extremely helpful especially during office hours and exam reviews. thoroughly explains problems and answers questions clearly. wore the same pants with suspenders for 2 months, has a great sense of humor. will end up postponing most homeworks for an extra 2-5 days. LOVE MIRKOVIC!

Mirk is the man. He wears the same shirt every day, reminds me of a cartoon character. He has an interesting mathematical sense of humor. He is extremely detailed in thorough when reviewing new material. He is EXTREMELY flexible to help students out in any way, he will delay your assignment if you missed it. Best calc teacher at UMASS

Analysis isn't an easy topic... but he made learning it less painful. He's pretty funny sometimes. You'll definitely get a good grade in the class if you make any effort to stay with the material and do the homework.

One of the hardest ever. Holds extra problem sessions like there's no tomorrow. Always gets down to business with a sense of humor. No bull, just 100% teaching skills. Take the class with him. Accent is great. Makes me think of 007. Highly recommen
