Awesome prof. Very funny, knowledgeable, and approachable. He makes an effort to make a very dry subject interesting, including coming to class in costume and bringing his own collection of illuminated scrolls! It's a pity he's retiring this year, MUS 120 will not be the same without him.

Awesome prof, great bow ties, good puns, even if the jokes are ridiculous. Keeps class interesting, and rightly demands respect and attention. Always willing to help. Am not a music major, but loved this class nonetheless, and did well.

He's not mean, but i cannot understand how he can be so into chants that makes you want to jump off a bridge. Very boring subject, super hard marking, very intolerable and strict. I'm sorry but memorizing the exact year a chant is written will not make me a better person or musician.

One of the best history professors at the school. His deadpan manner is very entertaining. He's tough, but you sure learn a lot. It's tough to make the early stuff interesting, but he manages to do it.

Makes the most boring subject in the world (Gregorian chant) about as interesting as it can be. He's really funny, and the bowties kept me entertained all class. Don't take this class if you're not prepared to work hard though.
