Everybody's too hard on him. He's not the most exciting man but he's smart and you'll learn alot from taking his class. I am a graduating English major and his class was the ONLY class that taught me how to scan poetry. Oh, and I got an A so his tests aren't impossible.

EXTREMELY knowledgeable; a walking encyclopedia of American lit; however, he is best kept out of the classroom and left alone in a very isolated dark office where he can conduct his research. Perhaps he could guest lecture in American Lit. classes, but teach? No.

Incredibly helpful when it comes to your own ideas and immensely knowledgable about American Literature; you have to work hard to get something out of his classes. Not the most dynamic speaker or teacher, but he's the man.
