Dr. Emens was a wonderful professor. He pushed me to be a better student. He was willing to meet often outside of class to help me learn material. He is incredibly professional about the material, but very laid back in his approach to how you choose to learn. He was inspirational and helped me enjoy the material.

Jack is a wonderful teacher. He is very kind and laid back. He made a class that wasn't all that interesting become fun. He is one of the kindest people I've met. There was a time I had a personal problem and missed the due date of the paper and he let me turn it in a week late. A lot of things were open note.

How many instructors do you know who will have a study group at Denny's to help you? Only Jack so far! I was so nervous taking this class but Jack helped put me at ease. He breaks the material down so anyone can easily understand it. Even as a non traditional student, I learned so much in his class. Can't wait to take another one of his classes.

Jack opens every class with a joke. At first I thought this annoying but after I hear his joke, it helps me relax. I like his class a lot. He breaks down the material. He goes to length to help if you need it. I also like that I have an instructor who is involved with todays issues. His news articles makes for great reading, he's a great guy.

Jack is HILARIOUS! He makes going to class fun, and we always had a good time in class. He started off every time with a joke of some sort. His material is easy to use and half of his tests are take home. I LOVE his classes!

I was very upset with Jack's class.He seems like a great person but makes the subject matter much more confusing then it has to be.I am good at math and got very high grades on everything but still ended up with a B.I have no idea how.If your a favorite you will do great =/

Other students like him because he is easy, but those that go on to higher level classes come quickly to realize how little they learned in Emens' class. If you want an easy A, fine, but if you really want to learn something and be prepared for tougher classes in Columbus, you are getting ripped off.
