At first I thought she was nice, but my impression of her soon changed when I saw the way she answers questions. She is arrogant and make students feel stupid when they ask questions or clarification. Her lectures are extremely heavy, slides dont always have all needed info to understand topic. I had to teach myself some topics. textbook will help

She knows a lot about what she is teaching but she speaks a bit too fast. Also seems a bit rude at times (if you ask any questions or want to clarify something) but she is an overall good prof. Highly recommend to attend the classes sometimes she says hints and explains her notes very well. Exams and finals are straight forward just pay attention

Content itself is interesting but listening to someone talk about it for 80 min is ROUGH, especially since there is so much to know. This applies to all the anatomy profs. Literally just use the textbook, I didn't even go to the FIRST LECTURE where she went over the syllabus. This is probs the only course I ever skipped ALL the lectures.

Was honeslty not the biggest fan of this prof - she's quite rude and personally found the class boring - interesting content however! Clear expectations but to do well READ THE TEXTBOOK; makes everything much clearer as her powerpoints (lots of blanks and questions) are a brief summary at best.

Don't take anatomy with any other prof. She gives you everything you need to succeed, as long as you but in the work and memorize everything (it takes a lot of time to memorize everything so be sure to leave a lot of time to do that) you're guaranteed to get an A+. Don't even need to go to class other than to fill in the blanks.

This is the second class I take w/ Dr Carnegie and Im always impressed. Her slides are clear and reflect what the textbook says in shorter terms. She really makes it easy for u to understand. Lectures are boring but better than studying by yourself imo. Lots of memorizing for this class but exams are always super fair MC and fill in blank/labeling

Comment:
Lots of hype going into the class, and I fail to see why. Lectures were a mess and were not memorable, and I found this class particularly more challenging than 1105. Additionally, while another prof gave multiple choice options for diagram labelling, Carnegie just gave us blanks, resulting in other profs having much higher averages.

Definitely attend the lectures, she leaves blanks and questions in the slides and although you can sometimes answer them with a good read from the textbook its much more efficient to hear her explanation, plus she often tests on those points! Mastering A&P is a helpful grade booster, so is the 3% assignment (ours was on vaccination).

Her lectures are a mess and just confusing. There's no point in having a prof if you have to teach yourself everything. She is not clear on her standards. Awful class. Waste of time.

Carnegie really does her best to teach what is a really tough subject that just requires memorization. She tries to make it simple but the truth is you need to work to memorize all the bones and muscles, her lectures just help you know what will be tested on. Her exams are pretty fair but definitely use the textbook and read her slides

seems v nice but she's all over the place during lectures. She spends 90% of a lec telling you what you'll cover later, which is a huge waste of time. I don't find I learn anything from attending lecs so I just skip and read the textbook instead which is much more useful and easy to understand. Her exams are pretty fair but at times overly specific

Highly recommend taking Mina and Frank for 1106. 1106 with Carnegie is nothing like 1105.

The lights were always turned off in class and the lectures would be solely comprised of her reading body parts to you for an hour and a half. Not exactly engaging or memorable. Additionally, while Dr. Carnegie made us remember how to spell and place every muscle and bone in the body, other professors gave these questions as multiple choice :(

This course was anatomeasy peasy lemon squeezy with Jackie. Don't get me wrong, her lectures were irrelevant and nobody understands what this lady says (rambles about random things and doesn't follow her slides). Read the textbook to understand and check her slides to see which parts you need to know, and you'll be walking out with an easy 98.

While it is a hard class, most of it is completely off the textbook. Her slides are disorganized and hard to follow. But her slides are good to look over to see if she'll include any details. Going to class is not essential but gives hints for what is going to be on the midterms and finals. Overall her exams are fair, nothing you wouldn't expect.

She is such an amazing professor. So interesting to listen to and very nice person as well. She explains a lot during her lectures and leaves some blank spaces in her slides so you'll have a better chance of getting an A if you go to class. Material to study is clear but heavy, lots of use of diagrams. Very good class, I would recommend!

Don't really get all the hype around this professor. Yes she's fair, but at the same time she teaches memorization-requiring anatomical content that will be on the midterm two days later and acts like it's nothing. Wants us to know diagrams of all sorts for the midterm and they just seem to never end.

Amazing prof. She's one of the best profs I've ever had. She explains her course material so well you almost don't need to go over anything on your own after class. I would take her again for sure.

Dr. Carnegie might seem boring and fast at the beginning but I really came to love her nearing the end of the semester. Her slides may seem chaotic too but if you recopy them, they make a lot of sense and are super clear. She focuses on the important parts and genuinely knows what she's talking about. The textbook helps a lot to explain details.
