This class was an embarrassment to the history department. Such a waste of my time, seriously avoid this class. I'm planning on filing an official complaint because it was such an outrage, and I tend to love even the most ridiculous teachers and classes.

This class is a joke. I'm not even sure what we are being graded on but all we did was watch movies which is why I never attended. If you actually want to learn something then don't take this class. If you want at least a B for doing no work whatsoever then take it. Most unorganized woman I have ever met and don't even bother sending her an email.

This class was a total waste of my time. Made us buy two book that we didn't use ever..we had two take home tests which I have not recieved my grade for yet..I have all of my other final grades but hers..her clad was completely useless and unorganized..avoid this prfessor at all costs.

This professor is terrible. Never know what to expect from her. Spent the entire semester watching videos. If she lectured, her notes were completely unorganized. A take home midterm and final about topics that were never covered in class. "Assigns" newspaper articles but never actually follows through with them. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

Nice lady but this class was so terribly boring and unorganized. Told us to buy 2 books during the first week of class. I never did and I am glad because we NEVER used them. Had two tests, one midterm that was taken a few weeks before the final, because she never got around to posting it. She will NEVER respond to your emails.

This class is ridiculous. She comes to class late every day and just talks about nothing. She doesn't follow any kind of course map. Her notes don't make sense when they even exist. No assignments, just a midterm and a final. We pretty much watched movies like every week, and she canceled class a lot. Don't take her, she's awful.

We never received a syllabus, we never bought a book. The class was pretty much a joke. A take home midterm & final and we never got any grades back. By December, we still hadn't gotten our midterm grades. She never followed any guide, just rambled. Don't bother showing up to class, but it should be an easy A.

Terrible. She gave no syllabus, never responded to email, and canceled class frequently. I quit going about 2/3 into the semester because the class was just a waste of time. To do well, simply do her weekly news article assignments and participate in class. She gave two take-home tests. If you want something valuable, avoid this professor.

Well, she's not there more than she is, which would be nice if she ever let us know ahead of time. Lectures can be pretty boring, but she cares about them at least. Shows pretty much a movie a week and not a ton of grades. I'm inclined to say she's tolerable, but I know a lot of my class would disagree.

This Class was one of the worst I have taken at JMU. She is unclear, unavailable, and inconsiderate. I regret taking this class and have literaly no idea what my grade will be, as we've never gotten any papers or work back. We didn't get our midterm grad back till the last week of the semester. She is a really nice woman who clearly wants students to do well. She had a lot of stuff going on with her husband being sick this semester so class was cancelled a lot. We had a midterm, which we still don't know what we got on it, but she assured us that we would receive significant extra points due to her lateness. Worth taking, really smart!

She doesnt tell us class is canceled, so we all show up and she comes in and tells us...ever heard of email?? semester is 3/4 over and we've only had one take home test. supposedly a project, but she hasnt said anything yet. lets us out 30 min early and shes always late by at least 5 min, but its a 1hr15min class

I did well on the tests, but other people weren't as lucky. Extremely disorganized and random, but she knows history. We didn't do the presentations, and she has no attendance policy. Over the course of the semester, she cancelled class 10 times, and we were let out 10-20 minutes early many other days. In my opinion, she's worth taking.
