I heard crappy things about this prof from previous years but this year he was decent. The last assignment was really hard but because there was such a low completion, he ended up giving a +5% course bonus. The tests/exams were easy/reasonable and he took time throughout the year to listen to feedback.

Comment:

The class subject was a useful one for landing a job, but this professor's lectures aren't very helpful yet he require mandatory attendance, the labs are reasonably challenging, but the project was so hard that about 1/3 the class did not manage to get the 60 passing grade. Better study web developement at home than taking class with him.

Worst prof ever meet. Meaningless lecture, basically reading slides. Leaving almost everything for you to google and learn it yourself. Arbitrary grading criteria, you won't image how he would change it. Rarely respond to emails, tough to talk with.

Guy cannot teach. Gives us random topics to google and learn. Tells us to memorize everything he said in class which is pretty all of google search. Exam was just stupid, no point in studying for it. Its all about luck. Class could be really easy if he actually thought.

I took this course 2 years ago. You cannot understand anything from Jagath. He gives assignments with poor or wrong instructions. He doesn't reply to emails when ask about clarifications. He doesn't mark any assignment or project but gives students random marks, 80 to 90 for MEng and 90 to 95 for MSc and PhD

This professor does not know how to teach at all. He comes to class unprepared. He does not reply to emails. He takes months to mark the exam. He is absolutely useless in teaching. One day, he cancelled 2 classes to go to the Bahamas for vacation.

Comment:

Well the course itself is pretty easy, but he gives poor instructions on what is supposed to be done. Both the LABs and lectures are of no practical use when doing assignments, so you basically have to learn everything by yourself.
