Dr. Fan is one of the best Chemistry professors at Manhattan College. She's extremely smart, knowledgable, and passionate about Chemistry. Dr. Fan wants all of her students to excel in her class and will push you to work harder than ever. Don't mistake her criticism for being mean - Dr. Fan is an asset to Manhattan College.

She is a great teacher and i was the person who slept through most of her classes. Towards the end i knew i had to shape up and i started paying attention and she is really an amazing teacher. She is a bit fast but do the homework and you will be fine.

Anyone who says this teacher was easy is an ass kisser or Chemisty simply comes easy for them. If you need to go to class and learn, don't bother with her. She can't speak to save her life and is very tough on grading. Don't bother with extra help unless you want to sit there while she speaks to her relatives overseas.

Dr. Fan is one of the BEST professors I ever had. Previous comments are untrue. If you do the hw and put effort in, this class is not hard at all. NEVER did her slight accent effect my learning at all. EXCELLENT teacher that makes Chemistry easy to learn. Very kind, helpful and understanding.

Terrible teacher. I couldn't understand anything she said due to her asian accent. She teaches a course where you have to pernounce chemicals in a certain manner meanwhile she can't even say them correctly herself. Avoid at all costs, she is relentless and doesn't think twice to fail you.

Unless you have a translator, don't bother going to class. She can't speak a word of english to save her life and shows no remorse for anyone who can't keep up with her ridiculous speed of teaching. She runs through chapters like she's in a race rather than taking the time to thoroughly teach.
