I remember taking a class with him in 2005 oh my god let me tell about this guy..............worse teacher ever, hes makes you want to shoot yourself in the head during his lectures as they are so boring, he treats everyone papers as toilet accomadations, and this guy is the ugliesst guy you will ever meet, short, british, bad breath

Probably the best professor I have ever had. Jake really helped me learn and develop my interest in South Asian history. He was always happy to let me (emphatically) express my opinions in class, and very helpful and friendly even after class ended.

I've only had him for one class, 4 years ago, but he expanded my interests in history very much. I loved every part of this course, and Jake made it even better. He was always accessible for help outside of the classroom. The only prof I've ever had give his houseline phone number for students to call him...just dont call during the West Wing!

I LOVED JAKE. He was one of my best profs. He is so funny, makes his lectures very interesting and the marking is very fair. He offered to write me a lette of recommendation for Grad school. He's full time at Kwantlen now.
