Stay away !!! I don't know what to even say HES THE WORST. I had him last spring and had to retake the class with Myers. Avoid him. At all costs. He gives no partial credit . Three minor mistakes on and you fail since he automatically takes like 10 points off

Stay away!!! He gives three exams +final. Never gives credit for trying. Even if you study, if you get three problems wrong on a test because of small errors, the whole thing is wrong and you barely get a 65 since he has 7-9 problems per exam. He doesn't even help that much. He gives worksheets but doesn't explain, just gives answers. Very arrogant

He is so bad; the fact he is even the head of he Math department makes me question LIU's policies sometimes. Literally talks about what we need to know for one minute and goes over the questions and expects you to figure out things on your own. Took off thirty points off my exam because "the questions weren't done his way". Took a UW.

STAY AWAY! he gives no partial credit on the test even if you got the answer right but skipped a small step he will mark the question wrong. He gives 3 exams and they are all out of 6 questions 10 points each :-(. Gives no extra help, when you ask for it he will only tell you he went over it in class but usually goes over it once in class.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! He expects way too much because. You have to memorize ALOT of equations for the tests. I have always gotten an A or B in a math class but not in this class because of the amount of information that you have to study that will be on the tests. He is not helpful and will not re-explain if you don't understand.

Horrible professor his tests are a million times harder then his review sheet. Not good at explaining. To do well you must study the textbook and do textbook questions. Beware tests are only 10 questions and takes off massive amounts of points for minor errors.

Well his tests were not that hard as I thought they would be. His tests are exactly the same questions as the review sheet the only difference is he changes the numbers around. Attendance is not mandatory but he gives you what you need in the notes. Can be a bit confusing. If Myers is not available take Allan.

Prof Allan is a decent professor, although the way he explains things may be a little confusing and makes a lot of algebraic or arithmetic errors when lecturing. Prior knowledge of the subject is highly recommended to do well in this course. Gives a review sheet before each lecture exam, just make sure you do them to get extra practice.

I didn't like the way he teaches. When he does the review you will be like oh it is easy. He does the easy stuff in class but when you get the test it is nothing like the review it is 100 times harder. You will def regret taking him. had him for statistics. Explains very clearly. No homework assignments. Gives amazing review sheets before a test. Difficult grader, he doesn't give partial credit. If you get the answer wrong but all the steps were correct you won't be receiving any points for that problem.

SUCKS. When you do the review sheet it's SO easy and you think you're gonna go into class and ace that exam! But you actually go to the exam you will see for yourself that he chooses the hardest questions that he can find. He is a good professor and teaches very well, but that's not going to give you an A when his exams are so difficult to pass.

I had a great experience with Prof. Allen. He gives review sheets before the exam that are similar to it and that helps a lot. Plus he dropped our lowest grade and counted our easiest exam twice. But everyone who took him in the summer tells me that he failed their whole class.

The most ignorant teacher a university can employ. Aside from his heavy accent that makes him unintelligible, he simply has no capability to teach.
