He's simply the best. Well, atleast for Cal. II. I enjoyed the class. He stands in the top 2 of about 9 Math teachers I have had in my life so far.

James is the best teacher ever, I expected CAL III to be really boring but he just makes it so interesting. I will definitely take him again and again. He is so funny and easygoing and helpful, even when you ask for help not related to the class at all.

James is a good teacher, he keeps his students awake and involved without pressuring them in class. He is very by the book grade-wise and will hold to his syllabus guidelines. If you want to learn the math then you won't have any problems! (Oh and turn in the homeworks, they're worth more than it seems)

Comment:
He is very scattered and full of energy at the same time. As a result, lectures are delivered fast while he makes thousands of different moves in front of the blackboard. He is so casual that I just cannot take the classes seriously. Very hard grader. His tests are awful because he would ask for counterexample or something egregiously obvious.

Comment:
He discriminates against international and non-math/science students,especially economics students. At least, he acted that way in our class. 20 people signed up and at the end, there were only 9 people left. He is smart and he likes his job. But he is sometimes not clear and simple to understand.
