Crotty is a hard teacher, but you know what to expect from tests (or at least in my class). Economics is ideological, Crotty offers a dissenting voice with an interesting critique. Valuable as an econ major whether or not you agree. You'll get a lot out of the class--not just a grade.

Any Crotty course you take is going to be a beast of a course, especially if you take this honors section. He talks fast, covers tons of material, and expects a lot from you. He also has no problem imposing his opinion on politics and economics in class, so if you can tolerate that, sweet. Only take the class if you're up for the work load.

Best PROF I ever HAD! You gotta love this guy he has so much humor and crack jokes against himself! Smart, witty, very helpful too. Lots of news reading, 3 major paper to write but I really learnt a lot from writing the papers. Tests are fairly easy and cover stuffs he taught before.

A welcome break from theory-intense courses. Instead, the focus is on understanding how and why economics is important in the news now. No curve **** on tests and straightforward papers. Great professor, the best I've had.
