Amazing professor. Understands the difficult concepts on a basic level and makes sure you can get them too. Covers everything you need to know for quizes, and the midterm. Really funny and endearing, always smiling. His enthusiasm and passion about the subject are contageous so that you'll be interested and want to attend class.

His quiz questions will be on the exam. The homework problems that come from the book are easy, but for the rest, go to the Friday tutoring! Do it! It will improve your grade a LOT! He was pretty clear, although his quizes can be a bit hard. He's the guy that creates the midterm and final, so he's very useful. His lectures weren't so bad.

At first when i saw him i thought "CUTE!". As he began lecturing he was interesting, funny, engaged. Although the material was boring like hell. At least he brought it discussion panels, which was the highlight of lectures (very few times though). Helpful outside of class. Just talk to him, he may even bring ur grade up if you be very nice &suck up

I liked Jackson. He was a good lecturer; probably the best of the core people. It's the core program I didn't like. If you're thinking about doing it, especially the science part...make sure you do some serious research before hand so you know what you're getting yourself into.

Jackson is ok. He's an acceptable lecturer, but is really good in discussion. His homework can be really tough, mostly because it's very unclear, and there are virtually no reference materials. He is also not very accessible outside of class. Biggest strength: he's enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Biggest fault: can be very unclear and confusing.

Jackson is the man. He's the clearest and most interesting of the core science professors, but he's sort of pessimistic about life and our place in the world, which can come off as a lack of empathy, but he really is very passionate about what he does. Makes you feel small and unimportant, but that's not his fault... otherwise very friendly.

I really enojyed this class and Jackson is awesome. He's really understanding (took my hw late once when he didnt have to) and hes the type of teacher that understands your question even if you dont know how to ask it. plus i went to his office once and he was blasting Bach. Highly reccommended.

At first I thought he was a bit pompous, but as time went on I was so glad I took his discussion. He goes over material on the quizzes before handing them out, explains all concepts clearly and in easy to understand language, AND designs the tests so quiz questions are always on the exams. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Jackson is awesome! I dont know why everyone says hes terrible cause he was probably the most helpful teacher I've had. He really explains the information well. Especially for someone who doesn't like science (everyone in core) he really makes it clear and easy! Plus he makes the tests (duh, take his class!).

DONT TAKE CORE SCIENCE!! It is the most awful course I have ever taken. It is supposed to be for people who don't like science, but they cram SO much material into one semester that your head will be spinning. Everyone falls asleep in lecture (so boring!)
