Love the professor, but his interest in teaching is fading. He has been around too long for his interest to still be vibrant. He is very intelligent, but has merely been around the campus too long for his own good. He needs to find something else to be excited about, because he is not excited about teaching any more.

I love James McCarley He is the funniest guy out there. He is very hard to understand but if u go to him he will take as much time as needed to help u. I think prof McCarley is a great guy and I enjoy having him as a teacher. besides Hes so funny and he makes class worth going to.

Virtually impossible to understand during lecture. Doesn't respond to emails. I had him Freshman year (I'm a junior now) and this year he is wayyyy worse. Don't take a class with this guy, especially if you are an econ major. There are some amazing e&m profs at albion, McCarley might be the wost.
