He taught Bus, Gov, and Society with Urich so it was an interesting class. The lectures were entertaining even though they were a waist of time to watch. For the test just know the power points well and you should be able to get an A. There are two writing assignments that are very easy as well.

His passion for Psychology was inspiring & incited me to learn more. If you study & have a strong command of the material, you will do well & be rewarded with an excellent mark.

Interesting prof. Found him kinda arrogant and into himself. Likes to talk about himself alot, but shades it as material for class. Interesting material, however fairly superficial. Would have liked to go deeper.

When I started this class I absolutely hated it!but as the time went by I started to love this class more and more. He is demanding(in a good way)!He wants his students to learn if u work hard youll get a good grade. The presentation was alot of work but i learned alot from it and good grade (in the 90s) The tests are HARD need to apply the info

Good prof who uses examples from the material related to his clinical practice. Exams are a bit tough and usually consist of MC and true/false but if you study the notes he posts word for word you will do really well.

This is the worst professor I have ever had in my life. He goes through his notes so quickly that you can't write anything down.. his test was impossible and had nothing to do with our notes. He doesn't help you with anything. He is awful. do not take a class from him!!!!!

I found him to be an awesome professor. He was enthusiatic about what he was teaching. He made you want to be there. I took 101 and 102 from him because I liked his teaching style. Gave you the notes via WebCT and had 2 exams: 1 midterm and 1 final. All you have to do is read the notes and you will do fine. Highly recommend taking a class from him.

Excellent prof. I have had him for 3 psych classes now and I'd take more if he's teaching the ones I Need. Extremely helpful and very easy to approach. Explains his material very well, and will explain it again if you're not clear on a concept. No papers, just 3 exams which you can do very well on if you read his notes.

I have to say I am finding his class to be rather enjoyable. True, he does digress alot, but he tries to find a way to relate it to the topic being discussed. The tests are usually T/F, Multi-guess and fill in the blanks. To those complaining about his "big word" usage; your in social science class, what do you expect? Use a dictionary!

Easy to look at and to listen to. James does get off topic a bit - but tries to relate it back to the lecture material as much as possible. Not the best prof I've had, but I would definitely take his class again. His examples relate to real life practice which is helpful when studying the material.

Very easy class, but not necessarily one where you learn a lot from lectures. Easy marks, and attendance isn't mandatory.

I have had james for 4 of my Psyc classes, he is great. You can expect a 70 for just studing the webct notes. One great thing is that you don't need the textbook. Saves you money. He is very approachable and have a clear understanding of the materal. He has great stories to let. Easy tests, m.c., t&f, matching and usually bounus questions.

James is an awesome prof. All his notes are on WebCT, you don't ever write anything down. He'll tell you, or ''hint'', at what's going to be on the exam, and as long as you study, you'll do fine. Never uses the textbook, don't even buy it! James likes to teach by experience and through examples, which is cool. He'll clarify anything you dont get!

James is a nice guy, but going to class was a serious waste of my time. He does not teach anything relevant; he goes off topic into pointless, unrelated discussions. The notes are on powerpoint, but he just clicks through a view slides and then rambles. I was disappointed with this class.

This was an easy summer class. He was very interesting and told lots of stories. Never went the full 3 hours - when he was done the material he wanted to cover, class was over. Exams are multiple choice. All exam questions come from his notes - I had a 70 and did not buy the textbook.

Really was good as a 100 level class prof. Stimulates class discussion, listens and encourages questions and different views. If you attend class and follow, exams are long but pretty easy, if not, because of the large amount of material you are screwed. Rewards those who attend. Full of himself and somewhat annoying, but very good at what he does.

I'm not sure where all the bad rating are comming from, but this guys is AWESOME! He is such a good prof and makes things so easy to understand. He has a lot of good stories from the field and is willing to go into as much detail as needed. Tests are all multiple choice, true and false, and matching. Know the powerpoint really well and you're fine.
