Dr. Roberts is really a nice guy and maybe it was the class I took but god was it awful. POSC459 is the worst class I have ever taken at Towson University. Game Theory is interesting and all but the entire class deals with calculations and ideas that never work in the real world. Lectures are very boring POSC and Math should never mix. God help me

What a guy. One of the best at Towson. This is my second time taking a class with him, and I can't find a single bad thing to say. Sure, the subjects that he teaches aren't the most interesting, but he makes it somewhat enjoyable. 15 short journals based on the readings, two exams, and one research paper. Take him! You won't regret it.

Not even a political science major, taking it for an elective. honestly take him if you need the class! Super easy grader, no one got below a C on the exams. Exams all short answer, but gives study guide with everything you need to do good on the exam. Also can do essay beforehand. Weekly journals that are explained in the powerpoints, not hard.

Three straight forward exams. Gives the main essay question before hand and also a few other questions out of which he chooses which one's to put on the exam so there are no surprises really. One term paper- pretty easy as long as you follow his instructions. Class is interesting and he is really helpful. Easy A imo.

POSC301 is not a super fun or easy class, but it's required for POSC majors. With this in mind, Dr. Roberts is one of the best professors I've had at Towson. If you are struggling with a concept or any part of the paper, go to his office hours and he will help you until you understand. Homework every couple of weeks, two tests, one (long) paper.

Topic is incredibly boring. Dr. Roberts is a great professor, though. HW once a week, graded for completion. Long paper (10-15 pages) that you work on all semester. Two in-class tests, which are open note. Roberts will help you with anything that you ask about. Take him if you need the class for your major. Relatively painless class.

Don't usually contribute on here, but Dr. Roberts is too great not to give praise. I recommend all POSC and International Relations majors take him. I've had him for 3 classes. Always did well. Makes challenging topics and content easy to understand. Doesnt give unnecessary busy work. Makes the class easy and enjoyable, yet fulfilling

He gives two tests and one term paper. The content can be a bit confusing if you are not into IR but you are guaranteed to learn a lot. He is not a terribly tough grader, so if you put in the effort and show up you should not have problem.

301 is a pretty dry subject and he knows it. 2 Open note exams and a big research paper that you work on all semester. 10 hw assignments due whenever. As long as you show some interest he's a pretty easy grader and always ready to help you out. Great professor who seemed genuinely interested in helping his students succeed.

he is the only professor for this class and I hated it. It is hard to understand and has a lot of math involved. The paper is lengthy and 2 exams, maybe its not him its the subject... but he seems to really know it and expect you to know it as well...

Do not buy the book. He has very detailed notes online so just add your class notes to them and you'll be fine. Took this class with another professor and was lost. Roberts does interactive simulations with the class and gives a very helpful study guide.

Dr. Roberts is very passionate about international relations. He's able to make sure EVERYONE understands the material, which at some points can be pretty abstract. Class didn't get off to the best start for me, but I definitely think that I learned A LOT from him about international relations. TONS of work, but worth it if IR's your thing.

301 class is very boring material, but you need to know it in order to do quality research in your other POSC classes. Dr. Roberts is one of the nicest most helpful teachers you will ever have. The material is tough to get sometimes, but he is always willing to take the time to help you understand it.

The department chair. His class is interesting. Take this Game Theory class next spring if you're interested in Politics. It's worth it. It is hard and difficult, but he makes it easier for you. For instance, he accepts late hwks without a problem and he lets you bring a sheet of paper for your notes in the exam. He really knows Political science.

Prof Roberts is a super nice guy. His class is very interesting. I took POSC only because it's a requirement for my major, but it ends up to be my favor class.3 exams and 1 term paper. You can choose your topic for the paper. The exams are not hard if you spend time to sudy it. Take him, if he still teaches 107 for later time.
