The psychological novel. 8 books, 1 semester. The toughest B of my life but I was really challenged. I heard rother retired, I graduated in 04 with an English degree and I have to say that I was terrified by this man but I respected the hell out of him. You will learn but he is very hard

He is the most self absorbed, abusive individual I ever met. He doesn't teach, his lectures ramble, ie. 1 1/2 hours on where you can flip someone off and get away with it. He has too many personal hang-ups that get in the way of him effectively teaching his students. Too bad he hasn't retired already.

Holy God! His lectures tend to ramble and he follows his own tangents at length. The tests are difficult as he requires 2-3 analyses in a short time and the paper topics were extremely difficult. The course readings are certainly interesting but ... his overall goal seems to be to singlehandedly combat grade inflation. Good luck

The man is a genius. He's not P.C., but he's brilliant, extremely well-read, and very insightful into the future of university systems and the SDSU English department. He is VERY difficult, because Postmodernism is NOT an easy endeavor. He's from McGill University (Can.), demands clarity of thought in student writing, and was my thesis advisor.

Psych Novel.. I took this class as an FRESHMAN and I got an A. Non English major, but I survived. He is hard-headed..he doesn't bend..people hate him, & he knows it. But he's a godsent to the SDSU english dept. If you understand the books, you'll do well!
