Mr. Turney is one of the most useless/uninspiring instructors I have ever had. This man is filled with outdated information delivered in the most mundane/confusing way possible. Considering that this is a programming class, it's inexcusable. Going class becomes an absolute death sentence. About 3/4 of the class ended up dropping out, as a result.

He gives you material that is exactly on the exam. Would even complete homework during class. He rambles on mostly about his prior experience YEARS ago in technology, but despite the poor lectures, this class was an easy A for me.

Great professor. You get practice tests to study for the exams. If you study those you will make an A. I recommend for first COSC class. Lecture is a bit dry but you can make an A with some effort. Just stay awake and you will do fine.

Dr. JET has an extensive history in the computing world. He is a very nice person with a lot of experience. His syllabus is easy to follow and tests are laid out exactly as are the reviews which he provides to his students. Mostly memorization. He will allow you to use the book on exams. Show up, participate, study. If you work for it, easy "A".

This guy is SUPER, yes the lectures are boring, but computers are boring when you get into specifics. You have to be a geek to know this stuff, but this professors makes it were you can be a dummy and pass! That's the cool part so ill defend him any day and say HES GREAT. He could easily make the class hard, but he gives a damn on C N u move on!!

EASY. If you can stand this guy's lectures(I only showed up for about half) you're golden. His lectures mean nothing, and he often delves into his stories about being a programmer.......two decades ago. I'm not sure whether or not he realizes technology has changed since then.

Yuck! Find another teacher! This is basically a self taught class. Turney brings no worthwhile information to class. He provide all the answers to the tests.
