Comment:
The class consists of reading an excerpt from the textbook and each week 4 people are chosen to write a 4-5 page seminar piece for discussion on the reading. Everyone will write two throughout the semester and then there is a 12-15 page paper due at the end of the term. Overall easy and interesting class but his voice is a little boring.

Comment:
Choir with Jamie Crooks was a really disappointing experience. His arrangements can destroy even the most beautiful songs, and his sons (!) get all of the opportunities to sing solo. I love choir but this choir isn't for me- not very friendly to people who aren't already in the "inner circle" of his family and friends.

I took Dr. Crook's Socrates and Plato class and it was honestly an amazing experience. Luckily, we had an active class as well, so that just added to the already fantastic discussion Jaime offered us. I recommend everyone to take at least one of his classes, especially if you're interested in really looking at life in detail.

Comment:
Good philosophy prof. Crooks really loves what he teachs; in fact, he gets very intense at times with the arm gestures and such. He is excellent at shaping the class discussion, incorporating the off-topic comments some self important students (a breed that philosophy classes seem to attract) choose to give voice to. Fair marker as well.

Amazing teacher that can make philosophy interesting instead of boring. Makes one question on human conditions. Besides, Boethius rules and that's the best philosophy course that I've ever had. Choir = fantastic
