Amazing teacher. Seriously! What a guy. Clearly loves his job. Intelligent and humble. HILARIOUS, unique personality. Loves writing in colours, even if it means dimming the lights so you could see his writing. Do as he says, and it's an easy A+. Show up to class and do the bare minimum, and it's an even easier B. Learned a lot from lectures.

Refreshing my chemistry, Jamie is the ultimate professor. Very understanding that life gets in the way sometimes. Really makes sure his students understand the concepts before moving on. Gives great examples and short cuts for equations. He writes notes on board in different colors, it might just be me that loves that aspect. He's very charasmatic

Comment:

Amazing professor! He has a way of explaining any formula or equation in an extremely relatable way. He goes above and beyond to make sure that you are understanding the material and always has his office door open for questions. Also will answer emails very promptly. I had a great time in his class and I'm sad to see it end.

Jamie is a great teacher! I think b/c of his health issues he comes off a bit odd to people sometimes. He is really clear about what will be on his exams, so study what he puts on the board on review day. He is also really helpful and will cover as much as you need help with during his office hours.

What can I say about Jamie, he's very knowledgeable about the field and always makes the content interesting. In terms of difficulty this class is an easy A, you design the tests with him as a group based on material that you enjoyed from the course. He is sensitive to many allergens and expects (obviously) you to respect that. I recommend Jamie.

I had Jamie for 2 classes (BIOCHEM AND NUTRITION) and he was hands down the best professor I've ever had. Will let you call him at his house at 8:00PM if you didn't understand a concept. I really hope he comes back to teach soon so students can experience him. He's one of the few professors you will remember for the rest of your life.

This nutrition course with Jamie was awesome. He really cares about every single student and takes time to discuss with students outside of class. He gave tutorial sessions before exams. Although the course itself was content-rich, his exams were fair. The practice questions and study guideline in the course pack are extremely helpful for the texts

He is always able and willing to provide extra information and goes out of his way to find external material relevant to the class and help you. He is very understanding and flexible. Jamie Doran is definetly the most hilarious, different, and inspiring person I've met! He is such a sincere person that just melts my heart. He seriously cares about his students and wants to teach about that we're interested in. He even brought in guest speakers to peak our interest. He goes off on tangents that are sometimes irrelevant :D

Jamie is a very good instructor. He genuinely cares about his students and will go very far out of his way to help you. I swear he knows everything. My only complaint is the amount of information presented in lecture I found to be a bit overwhelming. 22 chapters fit into 14 weeks. I wish we went into more detail about less topics.
