I love love this professor. Taking this class was very helpful. Everything she has taught me I still use today in my everyday life. Sounds goofy but she is awesome if she knows you're willing to learn. I had her for both 1A and 1B of English. If I had the chance I would taking it all over again.

She was unclear sometimes because she kept discussing unrelated topics and changing subjects I couldn't have asked for a better first professor to have (it was my first semester of college. She makes you go to HER website for a lot of stuff, but it's fun to see what your classmates think of the topics she has. I had fun in her class.

Professor Kollitz is probably one of the most dedicated professors at RCC. I definitely didn't agree with all of her political opinions; however, she did open my mind to new political theories and helped me realize that our society isn't so black and white. Work hard and you'll be sure to get an A. She hands back work quickly and is extremely helpful. Probably one of the best English 1A teachers at RCC

Spare your self agony and don't take her class. There are plenty of other teachers that are more capable of teaching 1A. She is extremely old and will talk about her past the entirety of class while you have no idea what is due the following class session because she is never clear. The work is tedious. She is conservative and expresses this a lot.

I took her 1A class during the summer. Despite her scary syllabus, she is very forgiving when it comes to papers. She accepts late papers and allows you to revise them for a better grade. She is a fair grader and her midterm and final is easy. Make sure to be self-reliant. When she is upset at you, she is super mean and rude.

she is great, seriously. nice old lady. I have to say she doesn't spend long time on grading your papers. Mostly, she just wants the whole theme of your paper. But she requests over 92% to be an A. She told me I got 91.5%, and she gave me an B, which bugs me a lot.

Jan is an awesome lady! I think that if you have the correct class conduct and follow every direction you'll get an A. A lot of her stuff is in class so attendance is mandatory, but its either an A or F, you do it or you don't, so it's chill.

Another excellent teacher. She didn't believe I was already so good in English, though. Until she saw my consistent quality work product. That kind of hurt, but she made up for it in other ways. Hope she stopped smoking though it did get us extra breaks.

I'm so glad that I took her class over the summer! She is a wonderful teacher. She lets you revise your papers and do extra credit. Most of the reading was interesting. Just follow the directions and you will do well. She is only working part time now. She loves teaching and she cares about her students. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Professor Kollitz is awesome! I am not an english major but i love her class!! i took her for 1A and am currently taking her for 1B. She relates everything to real life which is cool. Its as if she doesnt read your papers, just get the MLA format down and an instant A! love it just do what she asks for and your good to go!

I took her during a short semester and she was easy! She is very helpful. Her essays can be rewritten at least once. You get to have your essays peer edited and teacher edited. She is picky about the following of instructions in her class and there is usually an odd amount of reading. I recommend her for almost any English course.

Awesome teacher! Makes you learn and takes away any stress about a researcg paper and final exam. She grades really tough, however she tells you exactly what she expects which make it easy. She lets you revise also. She is a huge student advocate. I love her. Take her before she retires!!

Do not take Kollitz! Unless you are on her good side you will not get an A. I got an A in my Eng 1A, and when I took her I was receiving a 91% in the class after the final. That should be an A right? Wrong.... she gave me a B. Why? Her grading scale is a 92% and above is an A, so my 91% is a B. What the heck?? So yeah, don't take her!!

Really great professor. If you are willing to put in some work then take her. She is very helpful and will get on you in front of the class but theres no reason to get mad over that because we should be mature enough not to get mad over useful information. I rarely read the info and still got an A on every essay, dont be scared and just take her.
