Comment:

Her voice is so quirky but you get used to it and it's kinda cute & relaxing. Very helpful in understanding the material and very clear in her expectations for the class! The texts can be dense & difficult but she makes sure you get it. Only 2 papers (~10 pages) & 2 tests, lectures are mostly interesting and informative, very kind & understanding.

She is the sweetest woman ever! She reminds me of Prof. Trelawney from Harry Potter :) Come to class, take notes, ask for help (she loves giving extra help!) and READ the assignments!If not then you'll be bored out of your mind! When writing the two short papers she assigns remember that she loves details!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!

Wonderful woman. Very helpful and understanding. Now that is out the way..this was probably the most borest class I had had. It made me dread coming to her class. Her voice is annoying, she doesn't teach anything really that will be on your mid-term or final. She talks about nonsense the whole class. U need music or sumthing to entertain u

She's a nice lady and knows a lot of information on the subject. However, her lectures are long and she rambles a lot which makes the valuable information hard to filter out. She's always available to help, and i felt she graded the essays pretty easily. Not a terrible option for this class, but obviously it would be better if you're interested.

Great professor. Really knowledgable about material. Cares about students doing well, always offers to help. Will read over your paper before it is due and help you if you need it. Can be boring at times and the mid-term and final are tough, but she is fair. Study and come to class and you are guaranteed a good grade.

I really enjoyed having Dr. Wilkotz as my professor! Although the class was difficult for me (I'm not an English major), Dr. Wilkotz was always available to help and responded to my emails immediately. I definitely recommend taking ENGL 222 with her, but be prepared to study and work!

Wonderful teacher. Always helping if you ask. She helps you improve as a writer by critiquing your paper. This also improves your grade. Material is a little boring and she does keep you the whole class. But she tries to keep you interested and wants you to succeed.

I took her for both brit lit classes. Test and hard, you must study. Papers need to have work put into them, but she will read them before they are due and tell you what you need to add. If you listen and take notes in class no real reason to read. Her voice is kinda annoying, but other than that not a hard class. 2 papers and 2 test !

Her voice sent me to sleep really fast if i was hungover. Even if i just was a little tired i'd be out pretty fast. Grading on papers i still don't understand, but the stuff you read is fairly easy to get the point from sparknotes. Not very difficult at all. IT's a tossup if you'd wanna take her for a gen-ed.

I had her for brit lit 1. her voice is a bit annoying, but really, if you listen in class and read spark notes, you wont have to read. If you're thinking about taking this class, do it! I didn't really keep up on the readings (I wish I had time, I would have been able to contribute to the class more) but the class was really enjoyable, engaging and supportive. Definitely made me appreciate women's art. The class format too makes it very great to attend. Not hard, like her ENGL.

Monotonous and boring - I've successfully learned to master Sudoku in her class, forget brit lit. Tests are insane, and papers are graded toughly. Take Connolly or Bergman instead

professor wilkotz is very knowledgable...she grades papers very easily, but tests are hard, because there's a lot of material. she's very helpful and lenient with her due dates...she's willing to accept late papers with a minimal penalty. she's a little kooky, but incredibly sweet. only take her class if you're willing to do the reading every night

Grades very hard on the papers. If you mention one thing wrong in them, your grade drops drastically. Tests are hard.She's like a Brit Lit fanatic so there is no way you can bs anything. Talks monotone and all material for tests comes from reading, because her lectures are completely irrevelent to what should be studied,and she goes off topic alot

Not the most exciting class (but it's a Brit Lit lecture - can you really ask for exciting?) but she is just such a wonderful teacher! I missed a lot of time due to illnesses, and she was so wonderful helping me catch up. Cares about her students, just ask her for help and she'll give it. Really good-humored, pleasant woman. And so adorable! :-)
