I've had Dr. Ingram for CPSC101, 120, 270, 390, and 430. This was obviously not by choice. She is willing to help you if you come by, but her classes are fast-paced. Programs she assigns are often ridiculous, and the tests are even worse. Her grading on everything is VERY tough. Lectures are very dry. Avoid if you can.

prepare to not have a life if you're taking this class. i spent hours in trexler doing her work and still almost failed. no matter how much i studied i still managed to make 50's and 60's because her grading is so unbelievable. there were only 3 people in the class getting somewhat decent grades. TERRIBLE.

Great teacher though a little dry. The class can be a little boring and the labs are pretty challenging, but if you want to be a computer science major, Ingram's version of this class gives you really good foundations to progress with.

She is absolutely the worst professor I have ever had. She does not care about her students, she will let you fall behind. Her grading is unreal, she is just absolutely ridiculous. i have never been so frustrated and disappointed with a professor here at roanoke ever before.

She is a very nice professor, who is willing to work with you if you go in for help. She also is reasonable about extending due dates on hard assignments (especially if you go to her for help). Computer Science is a difficult subject by nature and it is unreasonable to expect it to be as easy as a business class.

absolutely unreal. she is a rediculous grader, she doesnt understand why everyone fails the tests. the will NOT give you help. i am one of six or seven graduating seniors who may not graduate because of her. prepare to spend at least 20 if not more hours a week doing work for her class. you'd be better off taking STAT

Took multivariable vector calc with her, and she frigging LOADED us with CONSTANT homework! Sheesh. She's hard. And bit hard to listen to, she has a funky schoolmarm-type of voice, but we arent little kids, you know? Hard tests... Just.. HARD, dammit!

Because of her, I nearly switched majors. It's about grading fairly. I have listings where consistently she dinged 10 points for spelling 'teh' in a comment, even when the code worked. D-'s with Ingram in 101 and 201 classes, A's in senior seminar with harder professors. Choose instructors wisely.

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN INTRO CLASS! not a hardcore programing class. way to giddy about the material (wrote her own book). must write word for word on tests or you get it wrong. 9 page short answer/essay tests. not a cool lady. almost failed this class and I worked extremely hard. STAY AWAY!!!

Wastes not even 30 seconds of the block with attendance, conversation, etc. Faster pace than a Cheetah on fire. Tough to keep up at times and after a while the workload gets to be quite crazy. However, she is fair and favors nobody.
