Jane is fantastic, could not recommend her enough! Absolutely nails the dark subject matter using both humour and seriousness. Definitely need to attend lectures and do lots of reading but its worth it! Really cares and strives to know all of her students. One of my favourite classes in all of criminal justice.

Soooooo funny, easy to listen to. Lots of textbook and reading, but it's an interesting class. She's a very smart woman and caring. Class is mandatory though, if you skip you will receive a bad mark for sure. She gives out many hints for the upcoming midterms in class so it's best to not miss even one lecture. Awesome professor.

she's a tough grader, but if you show up to class and take decent notes on her lectures you should be fine. she makes class really entertaining and fun, and she's really easy going.

I loved Jane Murray, she actually liked teaching and wanted everyone to enjoy the class. Her tests were fine (if you study), her grading is ver fair. She's funny and has no problem helping a student in need. I wish she taught more classes,

Amazing, knowledgable professor. I loved every class and how she would incorporate her personal stories within the lessons being taught. If you take her class make sure to show up, seeing as she doesn't post online powerpoint. There is a lot of reading and testing on the chapters. Luckily the textbooks are so interesting its easy to read everything

I would highly recommend Jane's courses if you want to learn by having your perspective's challenges. Note taking is not too heavy and she implements a variety of examples to help clarify her lectures. She is articulate, knowledgeable and brings a raw style to her discussions. She gets you thinking and learning. Side note: AWESOME CLOTHES :)

Nothing but good things to say about Jane. She keeps your attention during lectures (even if they can be long) and delivers course content in a unique way. Not to mention she is hilarious and (now) has a great sense of style. I recommend taking any class you can with her!

Best professor you can get. Hilarious and knows her stuff. Novel is required aswell as the textbook. Tested on some statistics from class. Overall amazing person and look forward to taking more classes with her.

Incredible professor, thoroughly enjoyed her class. She often uses stories and anecdotes to convey points and is absolutely hilarious. Often, she will take extra time out of her schedule to chat with students regarding the course material, etc., is extremely considerate, and offers several opportunities for bonus marks.

Jane is a great person , she has a great sense of humour and enjoys what she does. Her classes are interesting, although, she does get off topic quite often. For the most part as long as you read and follow the textbook you will due fine. Shows lots of videos that keep things entertaining.

Jane is a really great lady. She is extremely kind and really present when giving lectures. Likes class involvement and when students speak up. Material is pretty easy and she has no problems conveying it. Recommend Jane any day of the week. Has a sense of humor too and tells good jokes which makes class entertaining.

Professor Murray is intelligent and interesting. She respects your opinion and encourages participation in class discussions. Lectures were filled with useful material but also study your text book for legitimate policies. Always keep up on PACCIOCO readings she always discusses him and tests on his theories. Highly recommend her class

Comment:

Great teacher, great sense of humor. Heavy subject, and can get emotional. Thankfully she keeps it light with humor. You'll almost feel guilty laughing, but the laughter is necessary with a dark subject like the one she teaches. I would take it again. Will help you understand things you might prefer to ignore, but important in Criminal Justice.

Professor Murray is so amazing! She genuinely wants her students to do well and is always there if you need help. Tests are pretty easy, but there is a lot of reading material and you won't do well if you don't go to class. Although the 6 credit class is intensive, the lectures fly by. Overall, an amazing prof, hilarious, makes class interesting.

Best prof ever! She makes class very interesting and easy to understand. Not to mention she is hilarious! She is always willing to help you out if you don't get something. She doesn't post the power points online, but follows the textbooks. So if you read you'll to good. Definitely would recommend her.
