I've taken two chem classes before this one, but they didn't satisfy the class. I know mostly everything we're going over, and let me tell you, if you know everything she teachers by heart, you will do horrible on the tests. She does not prepare you for the tests well. A VERY high level of knowledge is required to do well, or you'll get 60s on test

Dr. deGrazia is a really helpful professor and will help you if you ask. She assigns more work than some other professors and definitely makes you work for the grade but is also has very clear and helpful lectures. She has a great personality and cares about her students' success. The best professor for General Chemistry and Mat & bal

Janet is wonderful, but really hard. It pays to get to know her, since she's easier on the students she likes. She's funny, and really tries to make the material accessible and interesting for all. Be prepared to work hard, and use office hours frequently if you want to do above average.

Even if I wasn't the best student, she did her best to help me and see me through the class. The tests for me were very hard and the homework wasn't much better, but I really did like the content. It was a cool class to take and I'm glad I got the chance.

Janet was one of the best professors I've had at CU. She is very clear on what you need to study and if you just GO TO CLASS and take notes you will do fine. The tests are fair and usually questions are similar to things you have seen and done before. The final is heavily weighted into your final grade.

Janet does try to help people succeed, but only if you are a favorite (which I was not, as I didn't have time to kiss a lot of ass). Grading was EXTREMELY unfair and inconsistent. Partial credit was rarely awarded. There was no key and no rubric for grading tests... suspicious. Additional, she has a BA in Art History-don't learn ChemE from her.

READ THE BOOK. She expects you to know everything she is going to teach that day before you show up to class. The format of the class is atrocious and she is not very lenient when it comes to getting things wrong. I would not recommend this professor to anyone. I mean her degrees in literature and she's teaching engineering!!!!! Come on CU

Great professor. Very very strict on the honor code and takes fairness very seriously. Entertaining and interactive class. Heat transfer is easier than her Fluid Mechanics class.

The class was by far one of the easiest that i've taken. The test were moderately difficult but there are so many other points available in the class if you just do the busy work its easy to get an A even if your tests scores are lower
