Attendance is not mandatory but she will have a lot of exam questions based on in class. She does not lecture, the students do. She forces this as "student presenters". She uses these presentations as exam questions, so it is best to go. She does give out extra credit. There is a semi easy paper and 2 exams.

Great professor. You will have to do all of the readings to pass the tests, which are multiple choice but long and completely loaded. One midterm, one final, one long 5+ pages review of a TV show. Not afraid to talk about anything sex-related, which is good considering the class material. Extra credit for participation.

Easy class she is a little disorganized with the study guides but over all really easy class. You have to go to class or make a friend so you wont miss important info. There are 2 short reading presentations and a 5 pg interview paper. I recommend the class just as long as you keep up with the readings you will do fine.

Midterm,Final, a 4-6pages term paper. Presentation: as Presenters and discussants (twice). Overall, it requires effort to pass the class. There will be many assign readings from the text, a portion of course packet and online reading.

One of the BEST professors in the sociology department, she keeps everyone on their toes and presents the materials in her own way midterm and final were multiple choice and true and false scantron so due the study guide all the way through and you should get an good grade she does curve alot and she has a research paper but well worth it.

She's funny and class is interesting. Yeah SOME of the questions on the test have to do with class, which isn't mandaroty but if you miss, you miss some info that is for sure on the test so I suggest NOT to miss. Test based on readings which are not really talked about or gone over in class. She gives a study guide but questions can be hard to find

class is easy , i took her for another class last year and it was easy too. Lever is very interesting. She might overwhelm you on the first day, but it's only to scare you. Theres a midterm and final make sure you read and take notes cause they will be there, but she also gives you a study guide which I only used for the midterm the final. fun Prof

we barely did anything the entire quarter. she grades on a a 12pt scale, which makes it much easier. and not to mention she graves on a curve. everyday there were presentations and the students were able to pick out what was going to be on the mid-term/final. there's 1 mid-term, 1 term paper, and 1 final. offers a lot of E/C

Why there are so many good rates? I felt this is a very hard class! You have to read the whole book, and if you only read it once, it is impossible to find the study guide answers! she gave out the study guide only a week before the test. I don't recommend this class to any non-native students! She only wrote a little on the board this quarter

Took this class as part of my theme and ended up loving it. Dr. Lever is an awesome professor, and she makes class highly enjoyable and compelling with her wealth of knowledge and experience. There is a moderate amount of reading, a midterm and final, and one 5-7 pg paper. Attendance is not mandatory, but you will miss so much if you don't show up!

Dr. Lever is one of the BEST professors that a student could ever have. Her Mid-Terms and Finals are easy as long as you use the study guides that she provides for both. She also works hard to keep all of her classes interesting. Really, she is "one of a kind", I HIGHLY recommend her to every student!

Professor Lever is pretty laid back. Not a typical powerpoint lecture class. It's pretty easy, but about half of the questions on exams are in the book but she doesn't lecture about things in the book. But the class is enjoyable. I'd take her again.

I really enjoyed Ms.Lever's class. She never used the text book, but half of her test came from the book. She was extremely fair, she told u exactly what you need to know for the exam and gave out study guides. Class attendance wasn't mandatory but if you missed class then u missed key comcepts on the exams. :)

Attendance not mandatory but take good notes and try to show up. Midterm/Final grades on curve review sheet handed out. Term Paper about TV show pretty simple. Class is enjoyable even if you aren't a sociology major. Easy B.
