Comment:
Weaver lectures have nothing to do with the tests, you must have very in depth notes in order to do well on the tests (all from the book). You know what you are getting when you register with her... a very hard semester!

Very boring and hard to concentrate in her class. Try to take a different teacher if you can. Also what type of person gives a test during relays!

One of the worst professors I ever had in life. She does not use BlackBoard at all, and you are made to memorize the material, instead of understanding it. Her tests are based on what she knows, not what she teaches. She is very unreasonable at grading and does not care about attendance. I think she should be fired from Drake University.

She is a nice lady but has no idea how to engage her students. The only way you are going to learn the material is to read the textbook. Her class is extremely boring to sit in and your grade is only based on 2 tests and a final.

Terrible class. The only way to do decent is to read the book. Going to class is almost pointless, she doesn't talk about the things that are on the test and if she does, you're probably already not listening because she's so boring.

terrible class. I had her for econ 001 as well and learned there that you literally have to memorize the book. I ended up getting an A but I spent way too much time reading and memorizing the book. Try to find someone with old tests or the test banks online because they will help a ton.

Many people do not like this class. It is easy to zone out in but if you listen to her she can be pretty funny! If you read all of the chapter assigned in the book you will be fine! I skip class regularly and still have a good grade!

Im a straight A student and this is the first B I got. Literally hard for no reason you basically have to teach yourself from the book. Attendance isn't mandatory but it always helps to create a good relationship with a teacher. As I said I had a 3.8 last semester because I just couldn't figure this class out

Horrible! Your grade is based on two tests and a final. She is little help if you ask her questions. Her lectures rarely coorelate with the book and the book explains concepts better. I'm a straight A student and this was my first C!

She lectures for 75 minutes on a specific topic for the day. That's it. No assigned quizzes or homework, ever. Merely two exams and a final to determine your grade. Each is 50 multiple choice questions. Unless you take the time to seriously read the material and go to class, you will not do well. Overall rather unhelpful and not recommended.

Weaver is one of the most difficult teachers to deal with. She does not teach the material and her lectures put me to sleep because she would go on and on about one topic. I would suggest getting any other teacher for this course because reading the textbook is the only way you will take anything out of this class.

This was the easiest A I ever got at Drake. No homework. Just reading through the chapters before the test was enough to sail on by. Make sure to read ever chapter thoroughly though, it would be really hard to recover from on bad test. You can tell she appreciates people who come and participate in class.

Professor Weaver is literally the most difficult professor I have ever had and for no reason. The material is not excessively difficult, she just lacks the ability to teach in an effective manner. Your grade is determined entirely by 3 tests and the final (50 MCQ each). Your only chance is to teach yourself the textbook in its entirety.

Terrible lectures. There is a "topic" for the day and then goes off without repeating any material. Grade is based on midterm, final, and 2 papers. Exams are 10 chapters each. She is useless if you ask for help and it's a guessing game when it comes to knowing what she is looking for in a paper. She tells you the topic and thats it.

Weaver is a challenge, but not impossible. She is actually is almost useless unless you don't understand a concept in the book. The tests are straight out of the book so understand that and all the terms and you are golden.

Professor Weaver is a nice person. I can tell she wants us to do well, but she doesn't know how to do it. She talks about information that doesn't pertain to the tests in class, so we have to learn everything in the book, not to mention the tests were our only grade. Also, she didn't right down any information she said, which I needed to see.

I got C in ECON001 but A in ECON002. You just need to get used to her teaching style. Read the text before the class so you won't be distracted. Tests are multiple choice which aren't too hard if you understand the material and pay attention in the class.

This teacher is horrendous. Her in class "notes" are her rambling on about stuff not related to the topic. She does not write her own tests and as a result does not test based on what she teaches. The average grade in the class was a D. She was formerly placed on academic watch because she failed over half her class, but somehow got off it.
