Janina is one of the hidden gem profs at VIU. Her dedication to the class, her willingness to help you in anyway possible, her ability to just make you want to come to class. I took the course for the credits, but only after a few classes I wanted to actually get invloved because if Janina.

Janina is the best! So caring and a generally good person. I love her. Beware the comma splice and plot summary. Best drawings and examples. 10/10 would take again. So adorable. And also wise.

Comment:

Janina is one of the best professors at VIU. She is a fair but tough marker. As far as essays, she gives a great deal of comments and notes that really allow you to improve, although she is quite tough on grammar mistakes. I have yet to meet a more passionate and talented professor. Genuinely caring for all students, she wants everyone to do well.

Janina is one of the best profs I've ever had. Cares deeply about the subject matter she teaches, and is always happy to help. Inspired me to major in liberal studies. She is a very fair marker, but if you want an A you must work very hard for it. It is a priviledge to have Janina as an instructor

Great teacher! the setting of Janina's LBST's classes were small class of 20 people and everybody had a share in the discussion. She guided the discussions and is quite easy to talk to. Her grading is fair but not easy, you need to work in order to get an A…great style of teaching!

Janina is a great teacher. Always willing to review your work and answer questions. She creates an exciting class filled with insight and perspective, while engaging her student to critically think and draw their own conclusions. Perhaps,the best teachers I've had. At the start of the course she brought in the top of an asparagus plant,unexpected!

Wow. She really is something special (girl to girl). Take all the positives from the past comments and leave out the whiners and you have half of how she great she is. Talking to her feels like having someone listen to you for the very first time. Really. Her lectures were some of the best I had at Mal.
