Best prof ever!! Make sure not to skip class cuz u will be behind. She throws a lot of info at you, but is willing to help. Make charts and study a lot. She hand writes her lecture notes and nothing online. So you need to be there. Also, you do amazing group activities. Grade only by 3 exams, Comp. Essay and group work.

Best bio prof I've had at uconn yet. she unfortunately, teaches only the first half of the course. she hand writes all the class notes and will tell you exactly what you need to know for the exam. there is a detailed study guide posted online a few days before along with a practice exam. she's also a world famous parasitologist if you didn't know!

If you get Dr. Caira for any class, it will be your favorite class that semester. She knows so much and is so excited about what she is teaching that it makes the class fun. Her exams are pretty much on every word she says in class so you need to pay attention. Though, it's not very hard cause she's so engaging.

Dr. Caira was incredibly enthusiastic and fun to listen to - there's a lot to know for this class, but if you put the time into the problem sets and memorizing detail for the exams, you'll be fine. Note: the professor has NOTHING to do with the W portion; you'll get a completely separate W advisor for it, so you could luck out, or not.

She is very passionate which is great and it makes the class almost ok to sit through. All the notes she gives you are important because she basically gives you what she is going to test on. She only teaches half of the class. The problem sets are hard and time consuming so start on them early.
