Very entertaining prof; his experiments are interesting and he can be very funny. He Reads his notes off powerpoint notes but adds in his own little hints and comments. He provides his notes beforehand which allows us to bring them along and write our own comments on the material.

Plenty of loud in class demos. His lectures were a bit dull at times tho, everything's on the slides. The midterms and final, all MC... but it's tough, despite what he says; you should study off the sample exams in the textbook website he provides... his questions are similar, do those and you'll probably be fine.

Although I found his lectures and demos interesting, just watch out for the tests. I hated his MTs and Final Exam -_-|| All MC, but u only have around 2.5 minutes for each question in order to finish on time. The MC questions are also very involved, therefore not allowing any part-marks.

Eccentric, but very interesting professor whose classes are worth attending even though he only reads off his slides. But he cares about his students and encourages everyone to do well, the demos are extremely fun to watch and tests are fair. Fairly easy class, lots of it is review from high school chem.

Humorous, nicely paced class and organized. When he says that there are no twists on his tests though, don't believe him. MC exams = great. No memorization required, although you have to know your stuff.

Workload: 2MT (MC), Final (MC), Capa. Lecture notes are online and tests are based off textbook. Exams are straightfoward with a few questions dealing with rule exceptions. Class is scaled and the average is usually very sad (50-60%). [~]

Excellent professor. His tests are fair, but not easy at all. For this class, like any other class you go to be informed of what you need to LEARN. Keep up with this course, and you'll be fine. Don't keep up, you won't do well. Very approachable prof, makes clear what you need to know.

Overall a funny and nice guy. But the course is just hard. I don't blame him; it's a lot of material to cover. He really loves chemistry and his family. A bit weird at times.

His lectures aren't helpful at all. Repeats his lecture slides, along with some dumb jokes. In his lectures, he keeps saying, "pretty easy stuff~...". He does a lot of useless exp. Once another prof came in and lectured in some classes, and actually taught better than him; i wasn't falling asleep as i usually do

Just a funny teacher, good lecturer, good tone and gestures. Lots to cover in class, not professor's fault to rush them through, simply just not enough time for that many slides. Excellent in teaching, understood the concepts and taught me really well. but if you kids want good marks, READ THE TEXT BOOK SOME MORE. A definite 5/5 jacktu

Well..Hes still teaching my prof at the moment, but I might as well point this out XD Hes seems to be a very nice teacher. He knew that some of the class students did not have the text yet (stupid bookstore) He actually allows us to postpone the due date the LON CAPA assignment

Does notes on power point and rushes through them. Exams were fair and fairly marked. Good teacher but not terribly interesting.

I rarely fall asleep in classes and I actually fell asleep a few times during the semester. He looks very unorganized and I remember a mistake on the final exam. His teaching is boring, and he often goes off-topic. Exams were not fair, and his notes did not help. Avoid this professor if possible.

He'll spoon feed you throughout the lectures. At times it gets boring. But easy exams. Closely related to lectures and text. Just don't fall asleep during lectures. U don't need to study CAPA for finals. An easy A for students who have a good background in chemistry from high school.
