Jason was the first professor I met on campus, and is by far my favorite. I took lighting craft and production lab with him and it was always the most favorable part of my day. The man is incredibly knowledgeable in theatre tech and has a great sense of humor. I'd strongly recommend taking a class with him, you'll have a great time.

Jason is a great professor and he is a very talented lighting designer. His lighting class was quite easy as long as you take notes and occasionally study. There are a few in class projects as well as two group projects that require some time outside of class. If you're looking for a laid-back professor with a sense of humor, take Jason's class.

i only took this class for for credit but jason really made me open up more as a person. he was witty and if you respected him he respected you, i was such a shy person when i first came to his class and he really helped me open up and i wish i could take acting classes now. if you need a theater class he's your guy. boring lectures though

He is very difficult to get a read on but makes a morning class more interesting and managed to keep me awake. Quite cute but it is hard to understand how you are doing in the class because you never get feedback. Ever.

They say theres is a fine line between genius and insanity. Jay's line is more of a squiggle, and broken in some sections. Ingredients for a miserable time in Jay's classes include: Lack of a sense of humor, fear of heights, blindness, offensive body odor(s), laziness, love of Nikon products, incompetence and drinking too much tea. Talented man.

Jason is a very helpful and insightful professor. He is funny if in the right class. If you are easygoing he will be. I kind of a wack-o/class clown and i think he appreciates that to a certain degree. He likes to see creativity and frowns upon negligence. Take one of his smaller classes if you can, unlike lighting craft which usually has a lot.

Jay is Smelly and is too blonde for his own good, but other than that He is a decent teacher. He will stay after class and help those too confued to walk untill he is blue in the face. Lectures go on tangents often, but tangents are either funny ancedotes or insiteful information. Also he has an obsession witrh the word Flavor.
