As long as you put in effort you will be fine in my opinion. He is not the best prof, but also not the worst. He is good at explaining when you ask him questions and tests and quizzes are almost like the study guides. He is pretty cool, but lectures can get boring. I did well in the beginning, but it only gets waay harder. do the ec&hw, i didn't <3

Goes off on tangents for minutes at a time, puts the class very behind in notes. Hes so smart, he cant simplify the lecture enough. Expects students to have way more knowledge coming into class than weve been taught beforehand.

He holds a study session two nights before every exam and explains EVERYTHING so well! He is super understanding and understands that this is a hard course but wants nothing more than his students to pass!

Dr. Ribblett is a huge nerd, which he will admit to, and that makes class really fun. Chemistry will always be difficult because it's chemistry, but Ribblett does his best to help everyone. Weekly study sessions on his own time, feedback on exams/quizzes, accessible outside of class. 10/10 would recommend.

Mr. Ribblet is the best professor i have had at ball state!! I was so worried coming into college having to take chemistry but with Mr. Ribblet he made it enjoyable. I have done better than ever in his class and chemistry is a hard subject for me. He grades fairly nicely and easy on his test and quizzes as long as you try. I recommend him 100%!!

Ribblet is an AMAZING guy. However, his lectures were very dry and often I got confused, he sometimes went too fast. He does hold weekly study sessions and is always eager to help. His tests are hard if you are even the slightest bit confused but he does as much possible to help everyone out.

Chemistry is not an easy course, and Ribblett goes the extra mile to make sure that you have access to him outside of class for office hours, weekly study sessions, and exam study sessions. He is very helpful when you have questions and the nicest professor out there. Even if you are not good at science, you can for sure pass this course.

God bless this man. He genuinely cares about each one of his students. He explains things very clearly and makes tough material seem simple. He holds review sessions before tests and will answer every question that you have. I absolutely suck at chemistry but he made it bearable. I would 10000% recommend taking his class!

This is a difficult class, but he is the best professor. His tests are no piece of cake, however. He says on day one, that he knows there is someone in the class that will get an A without studying, and he doesn't want to let that person get an easy A, so he WILL put at least ungraspable question on each test.

Jason Ribblett is the most caring professor I have had throughout my college education. He genuinely cares about his students and understands that college is tough. Very easy to talk to and is such a dad (peep his white New Balance dad shoes and jorts) he is better than any other Chem prof at BSU. I highly suggest taking him over anyone else!

Dr. Ribblett gives great feedback, but you will only enjoy this class if you absolutely love chemistry. It is very dry and lecture heavy. He is willing to work with you outside of class and holds weekly study sessions, but his exams/quizzes are not like the practice ones. Also, my tutor told me his exams and quizzes are harder than the others.

Dr. Ribblett was my favorite professor this semester! He held weekly study sessions where he provided extra problems for us and was available for one on one interactions. He was very passionate about chemistry, which was very helpful because he made his lectures interesting. The tests weren't too bad if you studied his extra packets. Loved him!!

Dr. Ribblett was by far my favorite profess my freshman year. He makes chemistry easy to understand and he is very lenient on giving points on the exams. As long as you try, you'll do well! He is very understanding and he provides great resources for you to pass. He's entertaining and I recommend him over the other professors.

In my opinion, Dr. Ribblett is the best chemistry professor at Ball State. He is an amazing professor and my grades reflect that. On top of that, his lectures are fantastic, which allowed me to grow as a student. One of the best things about Dr. Ribblett is even though he has a huge class, he cares about all his students, and is kind.

He knows his chem but he also knows how to teach. His class is a ton of work though and you go through a lot of it very quickly. He's the best science professor that I've had. I've always struggled with chemistry, and his class is challenging, but with hard work it can be done. If you have to take this course I'd choose him as my professor.

I hadn't taken any chemistry previous and he was willing to help clarify sections during office hours or through email, to which he is very responsive. Overall great guy and easy to talk because he wants you to do well. Skipping lectures though is a terrible idea because that's where the quiz/test material comes from.

He was the most helpful teacher I have ever had. The class really wasn't as hard as everyone makes it sound. As long as you fill out the notes and do the pre-exam and go to the study session before each test you'll do fine. I also suggest not to buy the textbook because I didn't use it once.
