This class is mainly based on participation. Beauville is great personally, but very slow and unorganized in the classroom. I missed 3 classes and slid in with an A. Would recommend him if you want an easy A but you might pull your hair out in the 2 hour classes.

The last two chapters felt a bit rushed, but all in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this class. If you pay attention and study on top of actually attending class, it will be an easy time for you. Im disappointed he wont be teaching French 122 next semester.

He is the worse grader, he is not using any blackboard. His test is too high level and not related with Level one French language class. He hates anyone ask or arguing with him. His French accent is not right. He treats some of the student better than the others based on his mood.

Prof Jean-Claude Beauville has a heart of gold and is very genuine person. In his class those who participate and working hard will be awarded and those who are just want 5 units credit and skipping the classes will be not tolerated. He does not making it hard. The class structure is easy. Plus, he is hilarious.

Learning a language isn't easy but he really wants you to learn instead of just getting a letter grade. It's all about reading,practicing, and speaking in class. Is willing to stay after class for questions or extra learning. Show that you're trying and paying attention. I still use numbers and greetings at work today. Use your book and tutors!

Oui Oui :) Happy I took this class and I learned a lot. Teacher is patient and if you put in the effort, he will help you succeed. Lectures can be long but it is a 5 credit course and they are interesting and you learn as you recite back the french sentences and terms This teacher appreciates participation and it helps your grade significant

Fun class. You can go to a free French club movie to get extra credit. Allows you to make up test and/or take the best of two scores/average. Allows you to come late as long as you give notice. Great experience and ready for my December trip to France

Prof Beauville is a good teacher who cares about his students. As long as you show up, participate you'll easily get a B. You get full preparation for the test and most of our last classmates received an A or B in this class. Good class overall. Highly recommended

He's very funny and has a French accent. He does pick on certain students throughout the semester but only because they are active participants and often go to the French Club. If you are ever confused ALWAYS ask questions because he has no problem with explanations and he is very understanding. If you miss 1 class, you could miss a whole chapter.

He is an out there teacher. He doesn't like to give out progress reports so you just kinda have to guess what your grade is. He likes to pick on very few students the whole semester depends if you're the chosen one or not. Must buy the textbook with audio and the workbook! He is a great teacher! If you do all your work and are on time then this class should be fun and easy. Also, don't be afraid to ask for help; he is willing to have a one on one tutoring if needed and time doesn't matter to him because he knows learning is the KEY to success!

Mr. Beauville is charismatic, fun, and a wonderful teacher to introduce one to French. He cares about the student, and makes sure that the class is enjoyable and educational. You will sing, watch movies, and fall in love with French. Be punctual, do the work, and participate. Be flexible about dates and deadlines, however, as these may change.
