Her God and Human Suffering class was the first religion class at PUC that I didn't hate. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed it because it was discussion based and the professor was respectful of views besides her own. My only complaint is that she gives too much homework. She likes to assign 10-page papers, group projects, etc. which gets overwhelming.

Dr. Sheldon, however nice she may seem to be, is extremely tough on her grading. I don't know where the previous raters got the idea that her classwork is easy because it's not. She also assigns a ridiculous amount of homework and reading that takes up even more time than my core classes do, which is ridiculous. I didn't sign up for this. No.

Dr. Sheldon is by far one of my favorite teachers on campus for several reasons 1) she is almost scary brilliant 2) she is extremely understanding 3) she understands and is willing to go out of her way to help students and even with personal issues 4) her expertise in Hebrew Bible has influenced me to have an interest in studying HB/OT.

She is a very nice teacher. a little too much reading but they are perfectly doable. The way she gives examples for explaining the Bible and God is like no other. She seriously know a lot about the Bible and gives you a clear and detail answer for your question. Her classes are indeed draw me closer to God. If that is one of your goal, take it.

This class is easy credits. The assignments were a breeze - I usually did them in the last 15 minutes or so before class. Class was frustrating because too many people talked and she didn't do anything about it. Exams didn't have a lot to do with lecture or the reading. Start studying early. She's very Christian and caring.

Although her lectures and reading assignments could be interesting, she fails to incorporate lectures into the exams.Even if you never missed a lecture and HW, you'll have to completely start over to prepare for the exam. She even forgot to cover materials that were mentioned in the final review sheet, which I had to phone her to figure it out.

A very consistent teacher; very fair on grading tests, quizzes, and assignments. Can occasionally have trouble keeping student interest in the material.

She is very interesting and I agree with most of her views. She is conservative yet open minded and she doesn't try to force her views on everyone. She is very knowledgable about her subject

I found Dr. Sheldon to be challenging but very intellectually and spiritually stimulating. By far my favorite teacher at PUC. She has a kind of fresh way of thinking about spirituality that is non-threatening, and non-abusive.
