Her lower classes suck and her upper classes suck..basically her classes suck. She knows her stuff but does a terrible job explaining it. Her expectations are very high and and her classes are EXTREMELY BORING.

Stern is a wonderful and caring woman. People are cruel to state otherwise. She is now my advisor as of today and it actually saddens me to think people think this way of her. You are stubborn individuals who lack responsibility. She is a great woman.

She's not as bad as people make her out to be, but her expectations are relatively high. The course starts out really easy but it gets harder. It's still not a bad class, and Stern for World Politics is a much better idea than taking Halpert for American Politics for your social science core. You can resubmit a couple papers for a higher grade.

Dr. Stern is not a very friendly teacher. When students participate in class, she pretty much tells you you are wrong. You cannot go to the bathroom during class. When you are giving a presentation, expect to be stopped and called out on something in front of the entire class. Do the assignments exactly how she says...or else. Good luck though!

They dont call her Mean Jean for nothing. Shes xtremely rude and condescending. If you're a poli-sci major you have to take her-no way of avoiding her. She is just a complete jerk. Homework is time consuming too-group projects, lot of research. Basically, I think Stern is an evil ****.
