Dr. Rogers is an amazing professor in the sense that she teaches and engages you in your learning. You actually will learn things. Attendance is key, without it can be hard to understand dates and events. She wants to help you and is very generous to those who reach out and show that they are trying. She sees it and rewards it.

Such a great professor. Really emphasizes the importance of good research and attention to detail. Fair course load for reading and writing and encourages discussion of ideas and essays. Great lecturer, very engaging. Intimidating at first because she is so knowledgeable, but is very down to earth and approachable.

I absolutely adore Janine. She's not the easiest marker but that's only because she provides you with all the tools you need in order to succeed. She is EXTREMELY helpful during her office hours, I went because I entirely misunderstood a text I was writing on, and came out of the quick meeting feeling way more positive about my understanding.

Dr. Rogers has a great personality and gives really enjoyable lectures. The only down side to the English of Science and Technology class that I took with her was that there were a massive amount of dates to memorize for quizzes, midterms and the exam.

She's passionate about teaching. I would say her lectures are beautiful in a literary sense but NOT juicy at all when you realize she's pretending to know and quote things that she actually doesn't know very well.

Engaging, laid-back yet sets the rules, passionate about what she teaches, and I could go on. All I can say is that she's by far my favorite Prof. Too bad she's on sabbatical next year! A++++ teacher!

Rogers really shines in upper year classes. She actually manages to make her 3 hour seminars engaging all the way through, which is no easy feat. She's very helpful and approachable, you can tell she wants her students to succeed. You need to work hard to succeed in her classes but you get a lot out of them in return.

Rogers is a character, at first you think wow, she is crazy but, by the end your just like she's wacky and that's alright with me. Eng 1121 is a very easy class to take. I would recommend it to science students. There is some memorization and she did put random dates on exams from readings we barely talked about. All in all, easy class, ok prof.

The first time I met Rogers I thought she was completely insane, but she grows on you over time. She expects a lot from her students and is a hard marker but also one of the most helpful profs ever. When I was struggling with a paper for her class, she met with me multiple times and really helped me with it.

This is for Science and technology. She picked out interesting readings and she was very good at choosing tons of names and dates for no reason for you to memorize. Scatter brained at points but all in all a good prof. *Don't take this course unless you are a science student. Not normal English so much she makes you memorize! *

She's great...gives the impression of being random but her lectures are very helpful, very funny, and very interesting. If you try hard, participate, attend class and do the readings, you should have no problems!

Rogers is an abysmal professor. Obnoxious, pretentious and treats her class as if they are enemy combatants rather than paying students. Her absurd penalities (50% deducted for something an hour late and 20% for something under length - even by a SENTENCE) prove she has nothing but disdain for her class. And she can't keep up with her own work.

Amazing teacher, will spend the first part of the semester utterly terrifying you with the course demands, but the quality of your work WILL improve. Or else! Funny and brutal, really knows her stuff. You may feel both fear and awe. You may also feel stupid by comparison, but that will diminish. Capable of making you desperate to do your best.

The lady is an amazon. Giant and scary and tough. She says stuff to get the class worked up, clearly likes what she does. A little crude in her examples, but that's all part of the charm. Will always remember her explaining the danger of crow, who could put a WHAAAALE in the middle of the room.
