Great professor. She is such a kind person and helpful. Lectures can be a little dull but she takes attendance. Brought our class donuts and coffee for the final exam. The home work assignments are long and difficult but doable - just don't give up! I'd take this professor for any CS course in the future

Though she wasn't the best professor in the world, her class was do-able. The TA's are extremely helpful, and I feel I've learned a lot in her class. Keep up with your work and get help from the TA's when needed, and you'll do fine. I only disliked the lectures, which I usually fell asleep in.

Jeanne is a condescending person over all. Her word is law in her class. She is a Nazi about handing things in. If you mis-click something, she doesn't care. All of her directions are extremely vague and it seems she doesn't know what shes doing- ever. The TA's are better teachers. She won't admit mistakes. She has tenure, but she needs to retire.

Jeanne is a lovely woman and tries to keep things understandable, but sometimes she doesn't seem to realize what a programming assignment will require students to use. Often, concepts that haven't been taught are needed to do a program. She'll usually teach those concepts the day after the program is due. Fair, but very very strict on deadlines.

She expects a lot out of students. The fact that this class didn't have a lab is ridiculous. They decided to add it (now CS 110). Teaches mostly from powerpoints (which she puts online). It may be just the material, but I find her lectures eye gougingly boring. She snorts critically when students answer incorrectly and it's annoying.

Jeanne is boring, frustrating, and unhelpful. She speaks as if she's teaching a kindergarten class and expects us to create programs that are much more complicated than what she teaches. Not a good teacher or very helpful.

Good for cs21 but couldn't really explain stuff for cs26 (now cs110). Usually helpful but tries to embarrass students when she feels put on the spot. Often unprepared & we picked up the slack. There was a department meeting about students not learning how to program well, and for the first time she's not teaching programming 2 next semester...??

Professor Douglas is a great teacher. She is very clear, doesn't waste time, and answers students questions to the best of her ability (short of actually doing the homework for us). If you pay attention in class and are able to complete the homework, tests and quizzes are fair.

Fairly easy class, but Jeanne is condescending and too insecure to admit when she makes a mistake. Told us at the get go neither she nor the TA would be able to help us with the homework. She even said "it's not my job to explain to you what I want you to do for the homework". Nice woman, but not a good teacher.

She is awesome!!! The class is a lot of work, but if you enjoy programming then it is worth it. She doesn't throw any curve balls at you and the tests/quizzes are very fair. She seems a little intimidating at first, but is very approachable.
