Comment:
A boring professor who does not challenge students other for them to be able to regurgitate her beliefs and opinions no matter how wrong and arrogant they are. Is unclear about what she expects in essays. She sets a lot of reading to be done in a short amount of time which means that the literature is not discussed properly

Perrault knows her stuff. She engages with the material in a passionate and interesting way, and because of that our class did too. Sometimes she comes across as rambly or disorganized, but with her eloquence and sweet disposition, that becomes arbitrary. I learned a lot, not only about the books, but the world surrounding them. A gem.

Perreault is legit, I have learned so much from her even though her classes are certainly challenging. She is immensely intelligent, and creates good discussions in class by listening and cultivating more ideas. If you want more than an easy class that you can coast through, I recommend her.

She expects you a lot. We had to read 6 books and had to write quizes for each novel, but her questions are too specific. If she doesn't like you, she gives you a hard time. The discussion does not help understand your texts.

She scared the hell out of me on the first day. Lots of reading quizzes, multiple papers... But so long as you read the books and read critically, you'll do fine. She's also a total sweetheart, so if you're worried about an assignment, talk to her beforehand and she'll help out. The class had great discussions with her directing us.

Somewhat difficult marker, but offers lots of out of class time to help improve. Assignments lack grading rubrics or set guidelines as to what she wants, so there is lots of room for creativity. Lots of reading expected, however you can get away with only reading a few of them and BSing the rest.

Do not take a class with her, she is scatter brained and not in a good way. You will get yelled at if you are even 2 minutes late for lectures and she does not give instructions for assignments. She also assigns a lot of reading and constantly adds to the pile. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH HER!

Worst professor I've ever had. She was more interested in teaching her political agenda than she was the actual subject matter. I have reason to believe Bloom's "school of resentment" was based entirely on this woman. Like another said below, expect a harder time if you're a man.

She is a nice prof if you make the effort to attend class and learn, because she does take attendance at times. She is hard on marking too, but that's because she wants you to improve. Lots of reading as well. And tests are hard, you need to study hard for sure. Doing ALL the readings is a must.

Dr. Perreault is a very professional instructor. She had helped me significantly. If you are willing to put in the effort she does reward those students. She guides those who really want to engage themselves in their work. Thank you very much for everything!

She is a good prof, but at times her tone can be demeaning... sometimes she will indirectly say something through the text when she is trying to get her opinion of you across--- Sometimes felt uncomfortable

She is a prof that tends to babble constantly. She reads way too deep into the books. Then again, she is an English prof, you have to expect that. Her choice in books seemed to revolve around feminism. Her class felt more like a Women's Lit class than general English. Go to her office for help and your grade will jump, even if your writing doesn't.

Do not recommend at all. Very confusing prof and the way she explained things was hard to follow. As everyone said, she treats everyone as if they were children or in elementary. You also get a good grade if you are creative but in her standards, which is very very high.

a scatterbrained, condescending very unhelpful teacher. She is clearly a very intelligent prof, but cannot lecture clearly and seems to have no interest in the success of her students. Her assignments are vague, her notes are incomprehensible, and she treats her class like they are in elementary school. Do not recommend.

Overall, she's a great prof. You have to be willing to try things her way (i.e. very creative, thinking outside the box type stuff in your work) but she gives you credit for making an effort. She can be *very* accommodating if you've got a problem, but only if you've tried to engage yourself in her class.

Too much emphasis on non-canonical works. When people ask me if I read Hemingway and his like in my Am. Lit. class, I should be able to say "yes," rather than, "no, but I read a book that they made a Matt Damon movie of." Also too Fem/
