She is very strict on how she wants you to do papers, I got full credit but I heard someone got a zero because they didn't cite their sources correctly using APA style. If you take the time to do good papers and study for the tests using her study guide you will pass the class with a good grade.

Comment:

Prof White while intimidating is a caring person. She however is a stickler for APA style. She can be rude and seem to talk down to you but if you call her on it, or makes jokes she loosens up. She often tries too hard to be funny, she just wants us to like her. And this coming from a person she gave a 17 with a big fat P on the first assignment.

Professor White is definitly not as bad as everyone has said. If you go to class and just listen to the lectures and read the book, you can get a good grade. Her lectures are good and she knows a lot about the subject. People who dont like her just dont understand how to do well in her class. They have to earn their grades in college.

i hated every minutes of this class! shes crazy, rude and makes up her lectures as she goes. her data is old, shes out of touch and Id kill myself if she were my psychologist... and shes practicing! too bad we cant avoid her...

you do have to make sure your papers are in APA format and you must put everything from the book or other readings into your own words, but that should be required from upper division college students. the first take home assignment is hard but it gets easier and she gives some extra credit = )

She is the worst professor in the CFD department. She is very anal with the written projects. Make sure that you don't plagirize on them, not even a little bit. It's really hard to get an A on her papers so be careful with her. If you can avoid her please do so.

The lecture is pointless because the tests are done in groups and they are only based on the text, which is from the 1970's and very hard to read. There are 50 Q's assigned for each test and the group draws three out of a hat to write essays on. It is very hard.

She has change the exam format of this class to group tests, test are from the book, which is very hard to read. She doesn't clarify the book at all. Group essay exams! She assigns 30-35 questions from the book and you have to memorize all the answers because you will randomly select three to write the essays on. Dont take her if you can help it.

Doesn't know anything about infant and toddler development, Half the class was spend correcting her, the book is a CFD 270 book(its just review), the tests are easy but she doesn't know how to use a scantron grader, weird req for research paper and just plain weird!!

She is the most unprepared professor I've ever seen. She doesn't know how to read data, and tells all sorts of random stories about her family that have NOTHING to do with the course. Her assignments are easy, but useless. It's a required class, but a total waste of your time. Show up to get an A.

Prof. White comes off as a little intimidating, but she has a lot of things to say. Take good notes and come to class (it's only once a week) and know proper citations. She brings her cat to class so tell her if you have allergies.

Great Professor! Exams are easy, provides answers to exams in notes! Takes alot of absence leave, not too much homework, and gives alot of extra credit, a professor worth your time and money.
