Comment:

I missed points on assignments for reasons that caught me a bit off guard, but for the most part I would say that Jeff grades fairly. I enjoyed his class and learned a lot and will take more of his classes in the future. He's very good at what he does and is willing to help - all you have to do is ask!

Comment:

Don't expect to learn anything about photography. He will ramble for hours about his work and what he is doing in his life with photography. I've been in his class for the whole semester and the only thing I've learned is the basics of a camera, but I can tell you everything about his work!! Very helpful, not. Do not recommend taking his classes.

Comment:

Jeff is one of my favorite professors in the program, he's super laid back and easy to talk to. He has a very sarcastic personality, which I think some people take the wrong way sometimes. His grading is a bit puzzling at times, but generally is very fair. Be warned he has a tendency to ramble during lectures most of the time.

Whatever you do don't get sick. If you get sick he will not believe you not matter what. Even if you are on your deathbed he would probably still think you are lying. So don't expect him to be understanding if you get sick and even send in a doctors note. Because the chances are he will think the doctors note is fake too. So just don't get sick

One of the most laid back professors I have ever had. Sometimes can expect too much out of his students but is always trying to help us learn and improve. Lectures can drag on and get a bit confusing. But is very approachable and helpful.

He rambles on for two hours about things we don't need to know and then we only get thirty minutes of class time to actually work. The critiques are entertaining but that's about it. Lectures provide good information. Good lectures, good assignments, boring teacher.

Jeff is an awesome professor! He provides great examples of photographic images and explains in detail what he wants to see in assignments. Not only does he make class fun, but he provides inspirational videos and really knows how to get students thinking. He's always willing to help his students. I highly recommend him to anyone!

Jeff is a great guy and an amazing instructor! Just make sure you actually go to class and pay attention. Dont take this class if all you want is an easy A, dont waste his time. He loves his students who actually have somewhat of an interest in photography. He really has a strong passion for what he does, its his life!

Very helpful teacher, very funny. All around great class. He taught us everything we needed to know and was as understanding as possible about money/equipment issues. Was always open to teaching specific things to students that were outside course description. Excellent photographer, excellent teacher.

GREAT TEACHER!!! Can't say enough good things about Jeff. He knows his stuff, and makes you work, but he helps you out with no problem. My best teacher so far at BG, in both knowledge of his subject and teaching ability. Great class too, and a funny guy. Go to lecture though.
