AWFUL! Read directly from slides. Told us too many people were passing so he needed to make things harder, and he did. Attendance is not mandatory but theres a quiz every single class so it basically was. No chance for extra credit. Grading was tough. No curves given. Would not recommend.

Since switching to the new textbook, He simply reads the slides even more than he did in previously (so I've heard). He seems to know what he is doing, but just doesn't know the new teaching style. He is frequently surprised at slide content, even though my class was the second lecture of three, so you could think he would have read it before...

Organic isn't for the weak heart. He reads a lot from his power points so I found YouTube videos helpful. He is true to his word saying no rounding, I was .05% from a B and it was not rounded. Study in groups and if you can find old exams they are good resources to see questions he likes to ask.

Really struggled in this class. If you can teach yourself out of the book, alone, you'll be ok. Otherwise, take someone else. Doesn't explain clearly and reads straight from powerpoint. Doesn't do any on board examples. Tests are fair, but grading is inconsistent. Rough class. Basically, you teach yourself organic.

Dr. Jenson is kind of out there in personality, but he knows his stuff. Some people may think he's not approachable, but if you're asking the right questions and not expecting him to give you the answers, Dr. Jenson is more than willing to help to better understand what's going on.

This is Organic Chemistry! You must Study and do your part to pass. The professor can only do so much. He structures his class and tests so that the average of each test is 65-70,

His grading criteria is never known, not common to have different point values counted off depending on who you are. He curves the grading scale down, but in a way that makes it easier for people having problem passing but does not reward the people who are working hard at the top of the scale.

Organic chemistry is a hard class so you have to study in order to pass. He makes the test so that the average is a 70-75

He is not helpful at all. He just goes through the slides in class and never explains anything. Orgo is supposed to be all structures drawn and explained to understand but he never does. His quizzes are hard and his notes really doesn't help on the exams. Try to take this class from another university. Save yourself while you can.

I love Jeff Jenson. I think he's great. This is a tough class. But that's what its like everywhere. Jenson's sense of humor is strange and hilarious. His quizzes are tough but they make you study everyday for class. Tests are very straightforward and he's a pretty fair grader unlike the rest of the Chem department. Most fair class I've ever taken.

Tough class, but it is SUPPOSE to be. Put in the work and you will receive the grade you want. He is a nice guy who tells bad jokes. Reading the book before and after he goes over it helps tremendously. The exams are straight forward, the quizzes are tough . Easy points are earned through sapling. Go to class and study and you will be fine.

he is not helpful at all. as a student you need to rely on your text book, youtube and external sources to pass this class. he hardly writes on the board and reads off slides like its some biology course. UF needs another organic chem teacher because a school like this having just one teacher sucks!!! he easily frustrates students

So I tried to take o-chem early over the summmer, at Cleveland State and the professor was terrible! He was all over the place, going way too fast. Now I am retaking the second semester with Jenson and it is like night and day! As long as you take some effort and study a little every day, you will do fine. Just read the slides and listen!

I liked Jenson as an organic chem professor better than frye. He is a funny professor who will help if you ask. His tests are hard but if you study his notes and read the book you can pass. I would definitely recommend him as a chemistry teacher!!

he is horible. get another prof. for chem130 that jensen!!! i worked my ass off and the info wouldnt even be on the test of quiz. graded items are graded differently for every person! even if you take it more than once you will not necessarly do better the second time around, which makes no sence to me

Students keep complaining that he is a hard professor. I don't think he is a hard prof at all. If you go to take Organic chemistry at Toledo University, UVA, or other..u will see a lot a lot harder than Jenson. U guys so lucky to take him. Just read the book..This is called ADVANCCE ORGANIC but i think it's easy compare to my university

His class is not hard. It called, "adance ochem" but it is like easy ochem to me. In his class, you don't even have to know how the mech works. He doesn't expect a lot of works like my university. I dont know why they call this class ADVANCE...
