this is EXACTLY what a leadership class should be like! the group projects are fun and make a good portion of the grade if you aren't good test taker. I highly recommend him, he does a great job of teaching this course in a fun educational way. his classes fill up quick and he rarely takes crashers so take him if you can!

Probably one of the most useful classes here at CSUSM. Kohles is extremely passionate about his field and loves to teach. A funny easy going guy who wants you to understand leadership. READ THE TEXTBOOK! Midterm, Final, Film Case (group), Case analysis, and leadership paper. He is always willing to help and wants you to understand the material.

Kohles did not have much to work with for MGMT 302, since it is a 2 unit class and people generally just want to worry about their tougher classes/sleep. That being said he had good lectures, cared about his students, and the assignments helped you learn more about management. Nice guy!

Professor Kohles is one of the most caring business professors in CoBA. He is very helpful and puts the students first. He loves creativity. Do your work and you will pass the class easily. 2 exams, 1 essay and a simple group project. Pick a good group and study a little and you will pass. Would definitely take him again for any class!

Take him if you want an Easy A! He separates the whole class in the beginning of the semester so you can't sit with your friends, but it's ok make new ones! He lectures for 30 min, next group activities, and then watch Ted talks. Honestly half of the students are on their laptops and phones he doesn't care. Oh he arrives 10 min late to be laid back

Kohles is brilliant. He's very old school in the sense that he does not hold your hand, doesn't use CC, or technology in general for that matter. Class discussions with your group and the lectures are where you grasp the concepts. Read the textbook and you'll do fine, if you're not going to read it, don't bother taking the class.

He does a great job inspiring you to be a good leader. His class assignments are usually done in a group one that you pick and another that is random assigned. At the end of the class are group really bonded and made the class a lot of fun. Class is easy two presentations and two exams and one book report. Try to pick a good group for film case

Professor Kohles is awesome! He is so nice, he's understanding and wants to help his students. You will watch a lot of inspirational videos, many of which made me change the way I think. I really appreciated his teaching style. There was a group project, a paper, a midterm and a final. Definitely take Kohles if you can.

One of the best college professors I've had. Super nice and helpful. He made class so fun and interesting - we had a lot of laughs. Most points are based off of easy group presentations - tests are easy if you study book

Class structure was very relaxed. He is a cool teacher. The subject and lectures became redundant after a while though. Class is broken up into 2 tests ( based off of the chapters in his book, not the lectures), 1 book analysis, 1 group business case presentation, and 1 group film case presentation.

He is a great teacher! Very helpful and hands on, quick response to emails. You have a group business case that you do, a leadership book analysis which is fun, and a film case analysis which is also interesting. One midterm and one final. Take him if you get the chance, great teacher. Read the book pass the class.

Good teacher, even nicer guy. Keeps lectures to a minimum, lots of group work etc. in class. Clear with expectations and really focuses on very useful concepts. He is not an easy grader, but I am ok with that since he provides so much guidance along the way. This class was relaxed - one paper, one presentation, two exams. I'd take him again!

He is an awesome professor; the class is fun and relaxed! There is a midterm, a final, one paper and a presentation, since there is very little grading you must put forth effort on everything you do, but he is a very fair grader! He cares for his students and wants everyone to succeed. I really enjoyed the semester taking this course.

Great teacher! Seemed like a lot of work in the beginning, but it is will breeze if you stay on top of it.Easy grader. The tests are directly from the book, but they weren't huge parts of our grades. He is easy to talk to. He will talk about politics in leadership but he keeps his personal views out of it. Great class!! Great Teacher!!
