I've had Jeff for three classes (phil 100, 240, 362). It's pretty easy to get an A- or up in his classes. He is always willing to meet outside of class and discuss your paper and other concerns with the course. His lectures can be a bit dry. He's definitely one of the better philosophy professors at UFV. I recommend.

Jeff is an amazing prof and although there is a lot of material, he is very good about explaining it so that everyone understands and answering all questions. Only 2 essays and neither had a late penalty which is nice when you have a lot of assignments due for other classes. Watched 2 movies in class related to material, but it was not a waste.

Very organized with his lectures and is more or less on top of staying on topic. Participation is a must. Really engaging and easy to follow. Posts all of the notes online in a timely fashion. Really great prof. textbook is useful for supplementary material, and he references it a lot but it's not overall necessary to pass the class.

Jeff was a pretty good prof. He didn't over load you with homework and he marks fair. There were quizzes/tests but they were done in a group and it was open book. Considering I barely read the weekly readings and still did well I would say the class is pretty easy and interesting. But he did make you feel like like your answers were wrong in class.

I heard good things about Jeff, and while he's a great teacher who is helpful and a fair market with lots of feedback on essays, his class can get dry. I remember in my Religion class with him he would reiterate everything, then ask "What do you think?" Well I can't answer Jeff, you've already said everything there is to say!

His phil of religion class is very interesting. He is very knowledgeable and easy going. He keeps discussions on track and does a good job of keeping the class neutral which is great in a religion class where people tend to be very emotional.

For me this class was over my head, just because it is really abstract, and I am more an analytical thinker. The course is not argumentative based, but theoretical based. Unless you have a interest in religion, don't take it, as you will find it boring because of the difficulty to follow it. Jeffrey is a good prof, but somtimes all over the place.

Jeff is a pretty cool guy. He gives a quiz every two weeks, which is pretty nice and they're fairly easy providing you study and memorize. He's pretty funny, and he always outlines the quizzes very well with examples and all. But, he does go through very fast so make sure to keep up and get the power points that he posts the night before class!

Jeffrey is very helpful if you ask outside of class or through email. This course isn't hard if you are willing to put work in and memorize. You use the textbook quite a bit. His lectures are long and can be a tad boring, but they have information the text will not. Not too hard to get a good mark if you are willing to make the effort.

Good Proffesor, very interesting. He looks a bit like Ghadi. If you have no interest in this course-don't take it!! I took it as an elective and dreaded every minute of it. Jeff responds to e-mails quickly and really tried to make everyone succeed. He is tough but usually fair. The course is made up of 4x 25% exams. YIKES!
