A GREAT teacher! She wrote the lecture guide so she knows how to teach it. She prepares you so well for the tests add if you pay attention and do homework you will be fine. Attendance is not mandatory but if you dont go the work that you miss will be a zero. She drops 2 at the end so thats two classes you can miss. She is awesome..I got an A, but

A great teacher! Makes material very clear . Class is pretty much required unless you want to get the notes and to the classwork on your own. Worksheets after lecture pretty much do themselves and you do them in groups. Homework assignments every few nights but typically very easy.

Its helpful that she wrote the lecture guide. The 207 tests are hard no matter which teacher you take. They're more worried about tricking you than testing your knowledge. Jennifer's class is pretty boring but she lets you work in groups which is good.

She wrote the lecture note guide, so it's all mapped out the way it is on tests. She explains everything EXACTLY the way you'll need to know it for tests. If you just do the online homework, & go to class & listen to her, you hardly have to put in any extraneous effort to get an A.

This professor is a good TEACHER. She explains things very clearly and provides good examples. The last 1/3 of the class period is spent working on new material in groups, which was very helpful to me. This class is not a gimme, you have to study and do the homework, but it isn't too much and you can make a good grade if you work hard.

She is a pretty descent teacher. If you skip a class it is kinda hard to catch up because we cover alot of new material everyday in class. In order to make a good grade you do have to study and you do have to do your homework because she takes it up. I would reccommend her as a teacher but you won't make a good grade unless you put forth effort.

This was my easiest class this semester. She goes through all the notes & examples slowly and clearly. The 2nd half of each class is dedicated to doing homework-- you barely have to do any outside of class. She is nice but you can tell she sometimes gets frustrated when people don't understand. Overall she was a good teacher & I would recommend her

This class was pretty easy in general. She is kind of mean though, if you ask a question be prepared to feel like an idiot afterwards. As long as you actually go to class and re-read her notes you'll do fine. Also, start on the Excel assignments before the due date, they are normally pretty tricky.

Expects you to do a lot of work, but if you do most of it, you will def. get a good grade. She'll help you but get ready to feel totally stupid afterwards. She definitely has favorites and she really is a total b*tch most of the time. STAPLE your papers (she counts off) and make sure you tear off those perforated edges on your homework paper! hah

Mrs. Lavare is a solid teacher who uses a note booklet to teach you the material. The hw given along with the quizzes make it easy to prepare for the tests. Lavare is a good teacher but she grades hard. The material in 309 is pretty easy but she will count off on little stuff. Shes good for getting to know the material but you definitely have to work for it. Have to do your homework and all of that just to understand the junk good enough for her

I have had her for 102, 207, and 309. She is the only reason that I got above a C in all these classes. She does assign alot of homework and has a lot of quizes but they really are for a purpose. Also when she gives in class quizes the questions are from homework problems from the book. Always willing to help you out just go by her office and ask

Jennifer Lavare is an excellent teacher. The material can be difficult for those who don't enjoy math but she makes it as easy as possible by being very clear in her teaching, providing office hours for those who need help, and by giving homework every night that reviews what she taught in class. I would definitely recommend her.
