Simply put, the best professor I have ever had. I head Cornell is losing him to George Mason; they got a steal. The most enjoyable class I've ever taken.

Rabkin is an amazing professor, and makes even Constitutional Law fun. He really made me want to do the readings, if only to follow along in class. He is a breath of fresh air for conservative students, and a brilliant mind. Attend study sessions before tests as it is easier to engage with Rabkin. Great class overall.

If you want to learn constitutional law, do not wait for law school. Take Rabkin's classes! He is brilliant, funny, clear and challenging. The papers are not a chore to do because they are on timely, relevant, interesting topics. The exams are cake if you attend class and do the work. One of my favorite teachers of all time.

i found this class to be somewhat unclear and poorly organized. rabkin wasn't willing to help much outside of class. relegated much to TA. had little respect for students. the class was boring and often repetative. his ideology didn't bother me, nor should it bother anyone, it's more amusing than anything else. all said, i learned a lot...

Rabkin is the best teacher at Cornell. Whether or not you agree with his ideology, he's one of those people where at point you just have to sit back and absorb his brilliance.

Yes, he's conservative, and I disagreed with his views often. But after all of the ultra-liberal profs I've had to deal with in the Gov department, his class was actually very refreshing. Lectures are very straight-forward and easy to follow, and the reading is not too difficult. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone.

Rabkin is the god of constitutional law...he can be a bit intimidating sometimes, but he is very helpful to students who seek his assistance. His lectures are always interesting and sometimes inspiring, but do be warned that you will have to work your tail off. Very intense course but worth it for the knowledge gained.

Prof. Rabkin is unabashedly conservative, but he explains to you both sides of the debate. I saw him five years after taking his class and he remembered me...understanding his conservative views strengthened my liberal outlook. Very witty professor, who now chairs the professorship once held by Clinton Rossiter. Toppermost Poppermost.

Previous posts said that Dr. Rabkin gives his political views in class...and how is that different from anyone else at Cornell, except that he is conservative? He KNOWS his material, is witty, and is extremely helpful to any student who seeks his assistance. He is an asset to Cornell.TAKE HIM NOW!!

His beliefs and politics need to stay out of his lectures. Makes the class uncomfortable & students unwilling to ask questions for fear of being singled out for his rants against every idea that's not his. Will not be taking ANY of his classes ever again

Very challenging material, lectures, and overall concepts, but extremely worth it for the knowledge acquired and refreshing conservative perspective at Cornell. Brilliant man, slightly out of touch, hard grader, worth the work.

Very sharp guy, great argurer, and humurous. Can get off track sometimes, and his rants against some groups like feminists get tiresome. But takes no interest in how course is run, and he gives you needed materials very late. Hard grader.

Professor Rabkin is sharp, but he doesn't respect his students. He's funny, but more often his jokes are irrelevant and offensive. He is not above building straw men, and he uses controversy more as sport than discourse. Not worth your time.
