Complicated test methods but he gives you a really good idea as to what will be on the test in advance. I went to class and never had to crack the book to study. His stories are fun and he seems honestly interested in what he teaches. I can't see anyone doing all that well if they don't go to class though.

I thought that Jim did a great job teaching the class. Although that lectures were kind of boring and put me to sleep sometimes, I thought that he explained things well and the tests were relativly easy, if you went to class everyday.

He is an amusing person, seems very interesting and has a lot of personality. He jumps around subjects during his lectures so it's really annoying to take notes, and yes, i have definently fallen asleep becuase sometimes it's REALLY boring. his tests are pretty much the most confusing thing ever, but over all i don't hate the class or dread going to it.

I didn't really like Belote for the first half of the class. I struggled on the tests. But I realized his grading system gave tons of points for attendence. SO even though i struggled on some tests, I still got a good grade. IT was kind of boring, I fell asleep alot.

His tests are crazy, and when you get a bad grade back you panic, but the way his class is structured you get points for coming to class, and if you show up everyday it is really hard to get a bad grade. Very boring I dont think i stayed awake all semester.

I really liked this class, it was interesting! thats really good in a class that is nearly two hours long at 8am! Jim really knew what he was talking about AND knew how to convey that knowledge to the class. The tests are a little different but I liked them way better than typical multiple guess.

This class was a blast. The tests were unique and interesting. The only multiple choice test I've ever experienced that actually were an accurate measure of true knowledge and not just a measure of memorization.
