Jim is a nice person but clearly he cannot teach. Cpsc110 requires a lot of videos watching before the class. So all he did is repeat the same stuffs in the videos. He could to answer clearly the questions we asked in the class and sometimes he had to ask for help from the TAs..

He doesn't know what he's doing. Makes careless mistakes every 10 second. Lectures are boring (probably cuz the course itself is boring but not difficult at all), and didn't learn a thing from them. Expect to pre-learn everything before you go to his lectures otherwise don't go as you won't learn anything. ended up with 77% with a minimum effort.

Disorganized. Terrible feedback. Grading criteria is unclear, unspecified, and impossible to question, since it won't be til long after the exam that your assignment finally gets marked. Grades low by default, so in the (likely) chance there is an error in your grading, it is almost impossible to find out and get it fixed before grades are posted.

I agree with the person below... if you have his class, dont go. Go to carter's class instead, it will be A LOT more helpful since he is the creator of the course...He is VERY unclear, and VERY unorganized, and VERY confusing, always always says something that he himself cant figure out right away..
