Prof Power was easily my favorite professor at Saint Mary's. He really took his time explaining things to make sure that the majority of the class knew what he was talking about. Exams were tough, but were often bell curved.

Jim is phenomenal. I had to withdraw from accounting in first semester because the prof was horrible. Jim made everything seem so much easier this semester. He is hilarious and a great guy. He cares about you doing well. He is amazing at explaining and always does examples and practice questions in class. HIGHLY recommend !!!

Very amazing prof. He give clear explanation in his class, and very kind for answering your questions. Sometimes he will ask some questions in class to sure the attendance and participation. Test is fair. Try your best and you will get good grade.

Such a great prof! I did so well in his class mainly because I never wanted to get behind because he is always calling on people to answer questions and I always wanted to have an answer. A lot of people on here complain that he calls on people but I feel that is how I did so well. Textbook use is minimal aside from in class questions.

Very good prof, he knows what he's talking about and makes connections to the real world. His downfall is he constantly is calling on students to answer question which may put them on the spot and feel comfortable. Most people seemed to be in the B+ - A range in intro to financial accounting

Good prof but he calls out all of his students. While doing problems he will go around the room calling on people to answer questions, it's really annoying especially if you don't know the answer. So if you don't like being called on or your shy this is a warning. Overall a nice guy, funny prof and a good teacher! He also looks like Rex Ryan

One of the best profs for intro financial accounting. His explanations are clear and concise, and he does plenty of examples. Accounting is a difficult subject, but Power does an awesome job at bringing it down to a level that everyone can understand. The course still requires time and effort, though, so don't go in thinking it will be an easy A.
