JJ made you work hard but she was so knowledgeable, I learned a lot. She cared about whether her students were doing well. Even though she seemed strict and tough to talk with, she was pretty easy to talk to once you initiated it. And she would bring scones for AM classes and snacks and tea for PM classes!

I love JJ!!!! I took her for every class that I could. She was like a grandmother. She brought tea and snacks to class and allowed you to really be able to sit back and enjoy English and Literature without having to stress out about your next paper

One of the greatest teachers at SSU - extrememly knowledgeable and pushed students to their potential. Also quirky and fun, she'd bring juice and scones to AM classes and tea and cookies to PM classes!
