HIST 2400 student here. Her course was not easy, but it was absolutely amazing. Her essays are like a good story; you learn from them, and she is very easy to understand. Very calm, almost motherly in a sense. Lots of readings for the course. The best course I took all year, bar none. I highly recommend if you want a challenge!

Very nice lady. She is a clear and concise lecturer and hardly ever lectures about unnecessary topics. Her only downfall is she sometimes lectures a little too fast.

Awesome prof. Really enjoyed going to her class. very rarely did I not understand what she was saying. Knows her stuff! Really glad I took her class, and want to take another one next year. Very helpful if you go to her right away and are the kind of student that shows up to class every day. Once embarrassed a student for askinga stupid question =P

Prof. Neeson is an incredible professor. Someone who really knows what they are talking about. She is probably one of the most approachable profs you will find and is always willing to help. Her marking is fair, you get what you deserve. One of the best history profs by FAR! One of the nicest people I have met, and she is also very funny :)

LOTS of info in short amounts of time. Understandably, could be boring if you were not interested in the subject. Personally, I love her lectures. Very informative. Uses videos, pictures and music whenever she can. Cracks the funniest jokes when you least expect them, she's so cute! Definitly recommend this class if you like British history at all.

Her lectures are great if British history is your preferred area. If you have only a mild interest in it, or are just taking the class because it fits into your schedule, i can see how you would be bored or find her difficult to follow.

This course was pure hell. She crams way too much information and detail into every lecture and there is a ton of readings! Plus she talks too fast and taking notes is hard. Add to that TAs that mark very harshly and you have landed in a hellish course. She is a nice person though. Stay away, you've been warned!

Excellent prof for people who like their history told to them like a story. She's a great orator! She does pack the course full of information, but it's all fascinating. If you love british history, you will love this class. Keep in mind tho, most of your marks will depend on you and your TA, not the prof. I hear Morgan is great :).

She seems nice, and I never really got to talk with her, but the lectures were boring and hard to follow. She tried to cram way too much info in the allotted time, and it was hard to determine what you should take down and what you shouldn't. The TA wasn't much help either. On top of that, earning a decent mark is not easy.

Just had her as a lecturer (TA Morgan for tutorial, he was great!) and I loved her. She may've moved quickly, but she was always really clear and exciting. You could tell she knows her stuff and is really passionate about what she teaches! She also seems like a nice person and tries to make her lectures interesting, with pictures and video clips!

This prof. is very good at playing mind games. She scares students before giving back marked assignments. She tells us which topics to 'choose' from a list she prepared. Then she tells us which articles and books to include in our essays. Then when we run into problems she tells us to quit complaining b/c the students chose their own topics.

Prof Neeson is very kind. I enjoyed her classes. She is very understanding. More prof's at York need to follow her lead in understanding students.
